After reading Jill's funny (I don't think it was meant to be funny but it was) post about Seven peaks I decided to write about a book I have been meaning to do for sometime. It is called "Sometimes I am Bomballo" I say it is a must for kids. It was a gift given to us by Jeff's book expert cousin. You can read about it here.
There are just some days when we feel "Bombaloo". In fact now when I appear to be in a bad mood Jeff will say in a very cutesy wootsy voice, "Is someone feeling Bombaloo???" and then try to tickle me to happiness, it usually works.
Check it out it is a great book for all!
I will have to check into that for Jessica. We need a name for the grouchies around here.
ReplyDeleteI haven't seen this book before. I always think of the Dr. Seuss color book because some days I feel grey, some days red, some days blue, and some days orange and so on. I totally get it.
ReplyDeleteLove the illustrations Kristi! Cute! Will check it out!
ReplyDeletethanks for the book tip. I love books that help kids understand their emotions.
ReplyDeleteGreat book suggestion! After reading your blog and the reviews on Amazon, I ordered a copy. We have a few who transform into Bombaloos on occasion. I also ordered a few other of the books you suggested when you came over last week! You are a gold mine of creative wisdom. I hope you had fun at the Spy Museum. I'm so impressed. I haven't even been there! :-)
ReplyDeleteThis book looks great. I will have to see if our library has it. Sometimes I am bombaloo.
ReplyDeleteps. I am Jessie's friend, I've read your blog for a little while now, and thought I should start commenting.
I'll have to check this out it looks very cute.
ReplyDeleteCute, there is a story my mom gave us called, "when sophie gets angry" about a little girl who has a temper and when she gets angry she runs out of the house, climbs trees, takes a break, and then when she comes home she feels better and is a civilized person again. Seems like they might be along the same lines. We'll have to look for this one.
ReplyDeleteCute illustrations! I might need to check into this one for Kaitlin. It soundsw so like her right now!
ReplyDeleteOh cute. We used to have a book called Contrary Bear when the boys were little along similar lines. I'm going to look for this one. You can never have too many books about helping people deal with their feelings!
ReplyDeleteI love children's books. We're going to the library this week.
ReplyDeleteI love this book! My friend has it and I really want to get it. I over spend my book allotment by a mile every month, so this one is on the list. I love that Jeff says bumbaloo to you! Another reason to agree that Jeff is an all around great guy!
