This storm sure did a number on our neighborhood. There is no where to put all the snow and ice so it is just piled everywhere. Some cars, like our Jetta, probably won't come out for a week.
We brought out our new snow clothes that I went and bought the night before the storm. Our girls have never needed any clothes just made for snow. It pays to buy them at the end of the season because I found them all 80% off!

Here are a few photos of evidence that winter came our way this year.

Score on the clothes for sure. I always hate paying full price for clothes you know you will only wear a few times.
ReplyDeleteYou guys seem to be making the best of the snow. Is it spring yet?? Cute pictures.
These photos are precious! Looks like such a fun day. Have you started putting this stuff in scrapbooks for your girls yet?

ReplyDeleteFun! Ben took our girls sledding at the school, it has a great hill and they had so much fun! Score on the snow clothes. You can sometimes get them really cheap at resale stores, I got Jared one that is brand new for $10!
ReplyDeleteOh, I love these pictures! I'm glad you are all making the most of your weather. I am over ours and Ryley is still sick so we can't even try to enjoy it. Too cute!

ReplyDeletePoor Jeff, pulling that sled! But that's a dad's job, isn't it? ;-P
LOVE your pink nails, too!
Great photography in the last couple of posts! I especially like the way my eye is drawn back to Caroline when her dad is pulling her in the sled. I also love the movement in the flag at the Washington Monument.
ReplyDeleteKristi,
ReplyDeleteI love your angle of photography, too...especially the sled one. What a great idea.
I love your method of scrapbooking, too :)
And. . . I love the pink silhouette by your address! Very clever.

ReplyDeleteIt's great seeing all the pictures from DC. Have you hit the spy museum downtown yet? Potomac Mills is great for shopping - it's about 30 minutes south around Woodbridge, VA. There's also a great hiking day-trip to Paw Paw, WV through the B&O tunnel.
ReplyDeleteOn another note, the pillow you made featured in your recent blog - did you emroider it by hand or your sewing machine? It's really beautiful!
Looks like a lot of fun in the snow. Darling photographs.
ReplyDeleteThe green frog boots are the best!

ReplyDeletekristi, i'm dying to know what camera you are using. i'm sure 90% of your awesome pictures are becauase of the great photographer and subjects!! but a great instrument must be helpful.

ReplyDeletemy camera is the Nikon D80 and i have to say it is 99% the camera. i feel like the more i learn the less i know and it seriously is doing all th work, i promise!
any embroidery you see on items is from my sewing machine. I have a brother sewing machine. if you are interested in buying one you can look at my FAQ on the top of my blog and check out my sidebar under "sew with me" to find a great steal of where to buy sewing machines.
Michelle A. we have been to the spy musuem and it was great. It gives a sting having to pay to get in because everything is free but we did love it. I will put your items on our to do list.
