Before.I hope that I will be able to add a "after" photo to this before shot of my fabric store purchases today. It has been way too long since I have sewn a project and i am getting the itch. My embroidery machine has not worked since June and is finally in the sewing machine hospital to get fixed, it should be released with a clean bill of health next week.
So, in honor of my friend
Mindy's birthday I spent the day at the fabric store (oh ya, and I also thought of my father-in-law while I was at the fabric store, it is his birthday too. I am sure he would have loved to be there with me searching through piles of fabric... huh Herb?)
Happy Birthday friends!
too funny! my dh hates to go anywhere with me especially if I don't have a list! haha
ReplyDeleteso whatcha gonna make? I am going to try to get my flag quilt finished this weekend so I can send it off!
OH and I"m the first to post! YAY!!!
I love those fabrics; what great choices. It's funny that you said that you have "the itch" since I just posted about having it yesterday!! Happy sewing!
ReplyDeleteDo tell. What project is itching, Kristi?
ReplyDeleteOh no, what broke the embroidery machine?? I hope that gets fixed soon. I love it when you monogramme things!
ReplyDeleteMum threaded up my brand-new, novice's sewing machine a couple of weeks ago but until the dining room is finished being redecorated I can't really set it up for anything. Which is a pain - because I wanted to make little Valentine knick-knack thingies on ribbon :-(
Can't wait to see what you do with those lovely prints!
I can't wait to see what you come up with!
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday to Mindy!
oh how lovely the pic of fabric is. i can't wait to see how you transform it
ReplyDeletehappy birthday to mindy!
I didn't realize your machine has been out of commission since last June! How have you been functioning for so long without it? That's just not right.
ReplyDeleteI love being in fabrics stores. I go in lots of times for specific fabric and then get side tracked by all the colors and patterns. I have actually walked out without purchasing what I initally went in for.
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to see what you do with all you fun fabrics.
~~Nik
Those are fun fabrics! I'd love to see what you make with them!

I'm really curious to see what you're making with all of that beauty. Hope you're sewing away today!
ReplyDeleteHow funny-I bought that same cute paisley orange fabric last year to make the adorable stuffed carrots you posted about with my Achievement Days girls. I mis those girls-I can't fake it anymore as Enrichment Leader-whose idea was that?!
