SPT - the number 8

Today after I picked up the girls from school we went to Goodwill and I told them to each find something green for us to buy. Caroline picked out the $.99 cent green glass vase and Sally Jane found the $1.99 green metal tea pot. It was perfect because together they look just like the number 8.
I am so glad I came up with using my goodwill finds other wise I was going to have to use the above photo of me wearing Jeff's military glasses (BCG's) and that would have been embarrassing.

Any one know what the BCG stands for?
It is the perfect nickname for the Military issue glasses

SPT - the number 8

My winter shape is taking on the figure 8,
a little bit bigger on the bottom than on the top.
Need to get my running shoes on.

SPT - a photo featuring the number 8

I found myself at goodwill again today and you are not going to believe what was still there... these guys, it pains me.
I again resisted from buying them but I did buy this! It is the most beautiful charcoal sketch of a girl, but the wooden frame is to die for! It is chunky and oval and only $3.00. Can't wait to put AK's silhouette in there.
So where is my number 8 - The writing below the sketch is
B. Brown, 9-68

SPT - the first thing that attracted me to you was....

it was in our public speaking class that we had together our Freshman year. I was smitten, those dimples and that long "swoop" of hair on your head, but the day you brought your mountain bike into class to teach us all how to change a big tire for your "instructional speech" - you had me at hello!
I loved finding out that you had forgotten that you were supposed to give a speech and when you found out you went to get your bike outside and brought it in. It was the ultimate fall with the punches type of move. I knew you were the man for me (then I stalked you for the next 4 years until we got married)

SPT
I think it would be incredibly romantic to ...

walk on the beach in Spain with my Valentine on our 14th wedding Anniversary.

As amazing as the day was this past summer and how much I do love this photo, let me just tell you what you don't see when you look at this photo. (you know just to keep things real)

You don't see
  • my 10 year old who is taking the photo who saying, "why do I have to do this?"
  • my 3 & 4 year old running on the beach and me being totally afraid they are going to get lost in the crowd, but me knowing if I don't make someone take a photo of me there will be documentation that I even went with them
  • the many years that we did absolutely nothing for our anniversary
  • the cargo plane we had to ride on to even get to Spain and the geo metro size car that we traveled in while there
What you do see
  • my Popeye legs - how can I not have a calf complex with this photo?
  • that darn dark spot in the most inconvient spot on my swim cover up (you think if I was going to photoshop the photo I would have taken that out)

SPT - I love it when you....

I love it when you call me in the morning and say pack your bags, tomorrow I am taking you on a trip for 4 days.
Best get a packing! Anyone know anything fun to do in Denver Colorado with your Valentine.

*** I also must note that Caroline loves the boys underwear and told me today, "mom look these are so cool they have pockets. They don't hold anything but it is like a pocket"
