My thrift store visits have been in abundance over the holidays - but since most of what I have bought it being given as gifts, I don't want to ruin the surprise for anyone, so I haven't shown off my stash. This little vase was something that I decided to keep for myself. And at $3.99 I thought I deserved a little spoiling. it is a group of mini glass vases all together that make it's own bouquet with even the smallest of flowers (like these lime green mums from Costco)
I also thought it would make a great place to keep paintbrushes. I considered it giving it to Annie Kate's art teacher but just got a bite of the keepers* on my right arm while in the thrift store, and there was only one (as I am sure it is an antique - ha ha)
As I am just dreaming of days and days of gardening for my future (I mean how can I not, my Dad has his PhD in dirt, yep he is a dirt doctor, I am sure to have a green thumb) I thought this little vase will constantly show off my gardens hard work.

Have you even been bit by a keeper?

*keepers are small bugs that often bite you when you are shopping for others. Their bite rushes a feeling throughout your body that encourages you to keep the item for yourself. While their bite is not lethal it can often cause you to buy more than one item at a time. It is not a proven fact but some large store my raise colonies of "keepers" in their stores during the holidays.
