sunDay nAp!this is a photo of Jeff today sitting in the hall before church was over (notice his fun pink tie) We have afternoon church and it is so hard because it is right during the girls naps and who am I kidding mine too. I just thought this was the sweetest photo and was glad i had my camera.
Today we had a linger longer because it was the fifth sunday. does anyone else do these? i have only done these in the South. We all brought soup. it turned out to be really great. we of course brought the medical board tortilla soup.
The seniors got their quilts which was so nice. Our Bishop is awesome for doing this for them and taking the time to highlight each one.
I am really going to miss my buddies!

Awww. How cute. Chuch schedules are so difficult. Wouldn't it be nice if they would just let you choose a different ward that worked better with your schedule when you have young children? We might actually get to hear scarament meeting if they did that. Of course, they would have to specify an age for your children when you'd be forced to go back to your real ward. Otehrwise we'd all choose 9:00 or 11:00 church.
Church scheds are such a double edge sword. I loved afternoon, because Adam could round in the am and make it to church (most of the time), but it was right during Lulu's nap period and she was terrible during sacrament. Morning church usually means no daddy but a fabulous Lulu.
Our linger longers were outlawed. I don't remember the reason. I agree though, I only remember doing them in the South- never in UT. Is Texas still considered the South?

That is the sweetest photo, I didn't even see Caroline lying there the first time I looked at it because I was focused on how sweet Jeff looked with Sally Jane.
I forgot to mention that the college quilts look awesome, what a cool gift and going-away present for those kids, they'll end up keeping those forever.

As soon as I saw the photo I thought "What? Kristi had her camera in church?". Of course I recognized the furniture, it is just the same as in our foyer. How cool that you had it on hand. I never take my camera to church, but then I would have missed a sweet opportunity like this! Marc thinks we should have a waiver from church when our kids are between 12-18 months. That time until they are old enough to go into nursery is brutal! We spend all our time walking the halls because Eva cannot sit still to save her life.
I forgot to say that we always had a linger longer in Seattle when Marc was in the bishopric of a student ward. That was the only ward I've ever had them in.
This is what it looks like for us. In the hallway...every Sunday. Unfortunately its after much crying on Megan's part. I am trying to teach her that hall time isn't fun run around time. Not going to good.
Anyway we do linger longers in our ward every few months. I enjoy them because its the one time, when I was in primary, I was really able to talk to people in our ward. I guess having sacrament last helps with that too.
I'm so jealous that I can't see your pictures. We in Chicago do linger longers also. They are usually alot of fun. I like the idea of quilts for your senior, what kind of quilts did you make?
