goOd maNners!
Every monday night is Family Home Evening for us. We start with a song, prayer and then before we have a lesson we read a little out of this great book! My brother and his wife who live in North Carolina gave it to us for Christmas. It is such a great book. A few weeks ago we read about how to interact with your neighbors. Tonight we read about how do you act on a airplane (with our big trip coming up)
What was cute tonight was Caroline. Before we started singing the song, she said "Wait, I get it" she went to the book shelf and found the Emily Post book of Manners. So thanks Bevan and Amanda, we love the book.

What are Bevan and his wife doing in NC? I've never been there, but for some reason I have a fantasy about living there. It was 2nd on Dave's rank list, so we totally could have ended up there instead.
I love the idea of using that book for FHE. Tonight we painted that bird house my neighbor brought over for FHE! I will post pictures later! So good to talk to you today!

We all need a book for this topic. Including our husbands sometime. Your better than us.. we hold our FHE on Sunday. I guess that is kinda cheating.
How fabulous! We need a manners book! (and manners)
i have to get it--sounds great!
That's a great idea. You're very wise to be preparing the kids for good plane behavior. I went to a great parenting class last year and one of the main ideas is to Prepare More Than You Punish. By teaching your kids how to behave way in advance of the situation, you're giving them the power to know better and do better.
I love littel kids with manners! It's so cute, and of course wonderful!, when you hear kids not being demanding or bratty. Kaitlin and I are working on manners right now. She's great at saying thank you. We're still working on please. Next time I'm at the bookstore I'll have to check this one out!
What a wonderful idea for FHE lessons! I think I'll have to get this book.
Sounds interesting. I will definitely have to check it out.
