nEw hOme!
I finally decided to post about our new home. I had to wait awhile after my April fools joke so you would actually believe me. We are moving to Gaithersburg Maryland in one month. The above photo is our new home. We are the third townhouse in. We will be changing gears completely. No back yard, detached garage, no trampoline! We are living in a neo-traditional community called the Kentlands. (take the time to look it up it is really fascinating)
Our church is in the community. Take a look at the photo it is awesome. The church across the street from the elementary school. You can walk to the movie theaters, Lowes, the grocery store, Michaels, the swimming pool, chruch and school.
It is about 20 miles from Jeff's work downtown. He will be working 5 miles from the White House.
We are getting really excited, but after mowing the lawn today, I actually got sad that I won't get to do that anymore. I enjoy mowing the lawn.
So, there is is our new home, I hope we have as many wonderful memories in that one as we will leave in this one. ... which reminds me i can't wait to post what i am doing for the buyers of our home... exciting!

I am so excited that you were able to get this place -- close to everything for you both. It sounds like a great community, and we look forward to getting back there to see you soon.
That looks like a beautiful place to live. The townhouse is so nice, and the area seems like such a cool way to live. It's exciting that you have gotten to experience all these different areas with all your moves. You get to meet some many great people and experience so many different perspectives, traditions, and scenaries it's enviable for sure.
Your townhome looks really nice. We actually have some good friends that were sent there via military for ortho last year. They live in Owings, MD. I know that he works in DC as well. I am not sure if that is close to you or not.
Thats a pretty fancy looking elementary school. It looks like a mini white house!
Wow what a change this will be for you guys, but what a great experience. At times I think how great that would have been for me to see and live in different places as i have been in utah for 30 years and counting. But of course it has always been a comfort to me as well.
The place looks great and I think its great you will be able to walk to so many places. Adam and I lived downtown slc for 2 years and I loved being able to walk everywhere.
My grandma has always told me that you can learn to love any place you live, and you might as well, too! In my experience it's true. I've moved many many times, and it's always ended up being a good experience, though difficult at first for sure.
I think that even though it will be a switch not to have a yard and such, it will be wonderful to be able to walk everywhere! When we lived in a big city, we walked absolutely everywhere. I loved taking those long walks with great destinations at the end of them. And I was in pretty good shape!
You will love living out there, the people are so friendly and willing to help. It will help to make the move less scary. It must just be me, only half of your pictures show up for me. What a great area to live in, I love being so close to so many fun shops. Congrats!
