relaTives.
I just had to post about my friends post. It is a little long but worth the read. My friend Michelle writes about her grandma and it is so endearing.
It is 3:15 am and I can't sleep, my teeth are killing me. So instead of picking up my book ( I can't because AK is asleep on our floor sick and Caroline has now crawled in our bed) i came to read a few blogs and I so enjoyed reading Michelle's.
It makes me what to be a better mom, aunt, friend, sister, wife and great grandma.
I have such fun memories of my grandma's even though we only saw them once a year.
so enjoy the read. {Michelle's Grandma Post}
the above photo is of my Grandma Gertrude Wahl Buchanan. She is the little girl. I love showing this photo to Jeff on Sunday's when he tells me I am putting too big of bows in the girls hair! for more photos of my grandparents click here. Even my Nona in her wedding dress.

Your picture didn't load. I was looking forward to seeing the big bow. Taking the time to be a good sister, friend, aunt...is so worth the time and effort that is put into and the rewards are immearsurable. I'm greatful for the time I've spent getting to know them, learn from them and appreciate the women they were and are.

I love the big bow, hilarious, and what a great comeback to use on Jeff.

I also loved Michelle's post. Makes me want to try harder...again.

What a fun post Kristi. That is such a neat picture! I want to see more pictures like that of the family. I loved Michelle's tribute to her grandmother and I cried the whole way through. It just made me realize the amazing role that grandparents have in their grandchildren's lives. I didn't have that bond with my grandparents but I do have great memories of them. I just look at my mom and realize she is building these amazing realtionships with her granchildren, and that is something they will have for the rest of their lives.....I am so greatful for that.

I am now addicted to reading blogs! I check yours out at least once a day. I love it. This one was really touching. I rememeber going to Gurty's house with you guys and I couldn't not imagine living across from that big miner statue! I felt so bad that Gurty had to see it everyday because I was sure it must scared the dickens out of her. She was a spunky lady.

I think Mark looks exactly like Grandpa Rasmussen as a young man (except for the black hair). Mark hates the big Rasmussen mouth, his friends call him "mouth".

Anyway...thanks for the inspiration!!

I loved Michelle's post too and am lucky enough to have met and spent time with her grandma, and wish she was my grandma too. She's wise, funny, sweet, beautiful, smart and loving--pretty much the whole package.

I'm sorry your teeth are still hurtin you, do you have pain pills?

Kristi, that is fun to see your grandparents photos. Spencer is scanning more pictures that I have found so all of you kids can have access to them. Oh, if only I was a student of photoshop, and organized. I just may have to get savvy because you and your friends are having so much fun with photography on your blogs. The journal keeping is fantastic. You are all so smart.

Love the bow as well. Thats cool that you have old photos. I really don't have many at our house to cherish like that.

That photo is amazing. If I had pictures like that I would want to frame them and put them on the wall. Love the bow!
