Berry good day (so cheesy but how could I resist)
Today we went Berry Picking at Butler's Orchard in Germantown. We went with our neighbors who are both Pediatricians at Walter Reed and two of their friends from Finland. Between the three couples we had 7 girls. It was awesome. We got to ride a trailer wagon to the field. Caroline was a worker. she could have a career in the field someday. She probably had the most fun of everyone. We got two huge buckets. (the above photo was another lady's stash, I kept calling her Martha Stewart with her cute baskets)
We stopped off at their store and bought cherries (the trees were empty) white potatos, sweet potatoes, avacado, two kinds of homemade syrup and these yummy strawberry lemonade slushies.
We will go back at the end of the month and get rasberries. We are seriously thinking of getting a sitter so that we can really get a good supply and make jam.
enjoy the photos of the day, we had so much fun i took 80 photos.

Oh, Kristi, those are the bests looking blueberries ever, and I thought you got the picture out of Sunset Magazine. Dad would love a pie out of them. Such fun. I guess Caroline just needs a job to keep her hands busy. How cute is she?
I absolutely love picking fresh fruit and making jam. It is one of the best feelings to open a jar or give one to friend and know that you made it start to finish. Now if I could only learn to blow my own glass jars...
those berries look sooo good, they'll make great bb pancakes. YUM!
