Busy, Busy!
This weekend we did a lot of sight seeing. In fact Annie Kate asked on Monday, can we please take a break from museums today!
We saw three memorial and went to a National Park. We had a great time and learned a lot.
In fact if you ask Caroline who is on the penny, she says, "Lincoln!" so cute. Go ahead call her and give it a try.
Check out our new posts on our D.C. Blog.

I love the Lincoln Memorial. Make sure when you see FDR you look at the steps at the very end... the ones that are in like a 1/2 circle. They contain either bits of his speeches or famous quotes from FDR. I'm so jealous. I LOVE DC.

I would be very interested if Jeff remembers going to the travelling pictorial of the Vietnam Memorial. We were going to Sniagrab (a great big ski swap in Seattle), and the Memorial just happened to be there at the Seattle Center. Herb and I walked in and were so overwhelmed and in awe of all of the flowers and mementos that were left along "the wall". It was extremely sobering to us, and our emotions were difficult to keep under control. I had no idea that there would be so many people who would leave pictures, letters, flowers, boots, and various memorabilia at the site. It was very moving.

I am glad that you are taking the opportunity to take in as much as you can of the sites there in D.C. We are incredibly fortunate to live in this wonderful land, and it is important that we all learn to recognize the price of the freedom we enjoy. Great pictures of your wonderful family............

Great photo. One of my choice memories of the many visits to the DC Mall is right after Miles was sealed to us in the DC temple we grabbed sandwiches and had a picnic in front of the Lincoln Memorial. Such an incredible spot to fit such an incredible day!

I absolutely love that picture of the girls, what a cool shot.

I still can't believe how much you guys go out and explore. I'd be so hyper about settling into my new place that I would be hermit-like for months. You're way more fun and adventurous than I am. Your girls are lucky.
