Quilt block exchange

I have been working on the Christmas block exchange for the Franklin Quilt group Christmas quilt.
I finished two blocks. I can't wait to get my embroidery machine back so that I can monogram the center. I think I will either do the year or each persons initials. Have not decided, any feedback.
What would you monogram in the center?

The fabric is awesome we are all doing the April Cornell, Christmas Presence line. It is beautiful.

Thanks for the soap packaging idea! We love any new ideas.
Those quilt blocks look darling! I didn't know April Cornell did a fabric line, I have often coveted her children's dresses at specialty shops.

I vote for the year to be embroidered that way you remember when you did it. Cute blocks. I miss piecing blocks like that together. I still hang the one we did back in 2001 every year for Christmas!

I vote for the year as well, that seems more historically significant. The blocks are beautiful.

I love April Cornell fabrics. I can see the historical significance of having the year, but I just can't get over my love of the initials...
