Inside out

I say if you going to make it, make it reversible.

I made this little seat cover for Annie Kate's stool to put in her room out of scraps of fabric. I thought to myself if I am making one side cute I am going to make the other side cute too. I love being able to flip it to either side. Especially when Caroline gets one side real dirty.

In my Sleeping Beauty dress making drama ( I have decided to make the dress) I kept thinking oh who cool would it be if one side was blue and the other pink.
This is when having a husband keeping you grounded comes into play. as for now, one dress, one color.

I thought my sewing buddies might enjoy the idea. It was so easy to make and with no pattern. Monogram font is Empire.

Yes, thank goodness for husbands who can say "Now honey... do you really think that is a good idea considering...." Mine is good at that. And good luck with it! I am sure it will be gorgeous when you are done. But IF you change your mind... Walmart has some for $20. My daughter got one of those (usually she gets the Disney store ones) a few years a go and it has held up pretty well.

I'm so impressed with your sewing talent. Did you catch on to it quickly or was there a rough period when you first started? I'm guessing you caught right on, but I'm trying to tell myself that maybe I'll eventually catch on and be good at it. It's wonderful that you can make so many wonderful things for your home and family.

How do you monogram? Is it a special machine or is it just a different setting on a computer sewing machine? I am trying to figure it out....

It is a special machine. i do the work on the computer and then digitize it to a card then put it in my machine. it is soooo easy. let me know if you want more information

Oh dear. Just making one side would stress me out, making it reversible would give me a migraine! I love seeing your projects.
