The Atlantic OceanOn Tuesday night when we had the missionaries over for dinner, Annie Kate announced that she had learned something really great at school.
"Did you know that Maryland touches the Atlantic Ocean?"
Oh my I was a little embarrassed. I guess we have never really shown her on a map where we live.
So after looking at many monuments and statues we decided to head to the beach this weekend.
Have a great weekend, we will take lots of photos and touch the Atlantic.

That's hilarious! The beach should be a great photo spot and excellent weekend activity, especially after visiting so many monuments.
Between Myrtle, Virginia, and OBX, OBX is the most beautiful, but Virginia would be the easiest drive. Plus from where you are you would drive for 30 miles underwater!
Have fun on your trip to touch the Atlantic. Such great enrichment activities. I may steal them from you--I WILL steal them from you.

oH I remember as a little girl living in bethesda that we went on that underwater tunnel....that was FUN! I must have been 5 years old....
