Encircled in LoveMy visiting teachers came over today. Although it was totally inconvenient for me, it turned out to be great. They left me with this quote.

I am so appreciative that they really give me a message when they come. I had a list of questions for them when they came about local happenings in D.C. for Christmas. They had some great information.
If you want a great gift to give your VT families in December here you go. Michaels craft store is carrying a line of European Christmas treats this year. They have chocolate advent calendars. This is a great treat to drop off on December 1st for the family you visit teach. They are only $2.00 each. We bought a bunch at the commissary a few weeks ago for our HT and VT families. A great way to show you care about the women you VT is to show you care about their kids. And if they don't have kids, who doesn't love a chocolate advent calendar? I would get these early though, because they will sell fast!

Thanks for the idea of the calendar. I was jsut at Michelas last week and didn't even see them.
We grew up with these Advent calendars! I need to go get some to give to my sisters.
I was actually there and passed them by...thinking that very thing. Guess I should get them while they last!

We always had advent calendars just like that when I was growing up!! I have never seen them in the states before! Forget my visiting teachee's...I am getting one for myself!
I've seen those advent calendars in the stores and hadn't thought about giving those on the first day of December...yet another great idea from you.
I love it that you ended up enjoying the visit from your visiting teachers today even though it wasn't convenient for you. I think that's so often the case, and that we're blessed for accomodating them and for going ourselves.
