I am often amazed at how many times as I get ready to go to bed I lay there thinking I didn't get anything done today. Last night I said the same thing. Silly me, when will I learn. I got a ton of things done, all the laundry, made it to the gym, cleaned an entire loaf of bread that had been smashed into the carpet in Sally Janes room (those stinkers), got a Christmas box ready to send, and I sent a ton of good mail. So what am I complaining about.
I took a photo of all the mail getting sent out. I actually got more excited seeing a mailbox of outgoing mail than incoming.
Here are some of my photos of good mail that came in recently and some that I sent to my gals that I visit teach. Let the bragging begin....
Tasha sent me this great book, "Confessions of an Unbalanced Woman" she knows me too well. Tasha is so thoughtful. She also is a great seamstress and is not afraid to spend a lot of time on a gift for her friends. Look at this great quilt she made recently.
I got this incredible thank you card for Rebecca. I can't believe how grateful I was to her taking the time to write what she did. Rebecca is a wonderful photographer and has her own kiln and makes pottery. Impressive, I know!
I also received this wonderful and so inspired package from Crystalyn. I don't know her which makes it even that much more incredible. The day I received this I had a really bad day, really bad. I had, had a rush of feelings from some past events and just could not shake them. I came home to this wonderful card and gifts. The silver charm with a hand and heart was so thoughtful. Thank you so much. don't miss her great idea of a Gratitude tree. she also takes incredible photos and loves her family. She had a scary event last week and we are all glad that you are ok!
I also recently received this incredible card from Lara, but Caroline took it and I have not found it again. She is my little clepto. I think of Lara every month when we receive our Family Fun magazines together. Lara is very SMART and has one of the cutest daughters around.
I sent one of the ladies I visit teach 7 $10 off coupons for her new grocery store that just opened in her neighborhood. I am sure she doesn't' use coupons or need to but I thought it would be fun for her to know I was thinking of her and how nice it will be to have a grocery store close.
One of the other girls I visit teach recently cut off part of her finger with a knife. I sent her some bandaids and antiseptic wipes.
visiting teaching does not have to be hard and over the top, Good Mail is just one more way to let them know you love them. Because as we all know who doesn't' love good mail!
I also got this good email from Sears. Because I had mentioned them on my blog they are offering a friend and family discount to my blog readers. So if you want to get that sewing machine.... great huh!

These are such great ideas for giving to others. I love all your ideas, and I especially love that you share them with us, and that you don't keep them a secret. You are wonderful!!
okay i really do need to get this good mail sent out already!! thanks for the inspiration!!
ps: next time say something nice about the GAP so i can get a discount on some cool jeans! heheh
That picture of your mail box bursting with good mail to send is so great it makes me want to do a little jig. It's so wonderful to see good mail in action, and please don't call it bragging. Think of it more as "Sighting Thoughtfulness" because you're sharing the thoughtfulness others have done for you, and that's definitely a good thing.
I also enjoy reading about the things you do for the women you visit teach. It's always great to get new ideas and to see your thoughtfulness reaching out to others. I LOVE IT!
Today I'm making gratitude journals for the other sisters I visit teach since the one I visited Monday loved hers so much.
Those labels are too-die for cute! I remeber when you cut the tip of your finger off with your rotary blade, I looked at every grocery store for LadyFinger cookies and couldn't find them. Now I see them everywhere, but it wouldn't be that relevant to send them, but I do always think of you!
25% at Harris Teeter is a score!
I love Emily Watts and her light hearted books.
It's always so nice to get something fabulous in the mail. Glad it came at just the right time. Funny how that happens.
You are such a good example. You have inspired me to be a better visiting teacher!
