Santa Bags

so with me new found energy and being able to get out of bed I ran to my embroidery machine, that is usually running 24/7 the week before Christmas.
I had seen in Family Fun Magazine a lady who had made large bags out of bed sheets for her kids to put their Santa gift in. It saved her from wrapping huge gifts and she said on the years when maybe they were getting something small that could get lost under the tree, they knew right where to go to find it.
I wanted to make these last week but knew my time was limited. So when I went to Michaels craft store and found these for $2.99 each I flipped. They were "as is" the only thing I added were the girls names. total score. They are huge, have a draw string closure with darling felt applique.

Definitely a major score! Those are very cool and will make for excellent wrapping for Santa.

That is such a good idea. I am glad you found the bags premade. One more project at Christmas isn't needed!

What a lucky find! I might have to check that out myself. I always buy separate wrapping paper just for Santa so they don't sniff me out, but then I feel like I can't keep it around because why would Santa leave his wrapping paper at our house? So, this just might be the solution. Glad you are feeling better!

OOh! I bought one of those and hadn't thought of putting a name on it, until NOW!

Thanks for the great idea Kristi!

Don't you love it when you score on a good find? I'm glad you can cross something off your list.
I have Santa paper too and I keep it on the top shelf of my closet against the wall. I have to climb up every year to drag it out, but I swear I will be using that same roll when I'm 50. I should have gotten cuter paper :).

You always seem to find the best things at Michaels! Think it would fit a "circus" bike? It is a tiny bike for a toddler?? Brilliant idea - and love the idea of reusing things each year! Always a treat to find something so cheap and even better to cross something off of your list.

We must have been on the same wave length I bought those exact bags at Michaels 2 years ago. And since I am without a machine I used puffy paint to put their names on them. The problem is they are so hard to fill up due to the size.
