Well, we will all admit the mailbox is good to us all this month. Why can't their be like a great summer holiday that we would all send cards for so we don't have to wait another whole year.
I have gotten 15 Christmas cards this week and it is only Tuesday. Of course my Christmas cards are still in my head and I hope they surface sometime this week.
Jill sent this amazing Pink Christmas mix and it is a treasure of Christmas songs. Are you too laughing at my purple CD player?
I got this amazing box as I do every year from my best friend from High School. (I feel so lucky to even say that, best friend from High School) She has ALWAYS sent me and my family gifts. She probably does not know this but there were many years that besides what received from our parents were the only gifts we opened. I always have been so excited to receive her gifts, they are always awesome. Some of the best items I own and still use are from my friend Heather. Her gifts are always wrapped in the best paper. You know that kind at the store sold by the sheet that you drool over at those cute gift shops. She has the cutest ribbon and tags. I love that she has always done this for me. I am one lucky girl.
We also got this box from Jeff's parents. Is there not just something great about getting baked goods at Christmas time. My mom always sent baklava and pecans in her packages at Christmas time and with internet shopping you just don't see that as much anymore. We got a bunch of fun boxes which of course make me crazy not to peek.
jeff's mom also sent his favorite candy. Andes mints. I love that she knows he loves these treats and sends them to him every Christmas.
The boxes always prove to be the best gift of all as the girls are playing in them as I type.
oh ya, and after giving them 4 baths yesterday and 3 outfits I have decided to stop dressing them at home, messes clean up so much easier off their skin then poly/cotton... hee hee!

Does this mean you're feeling better? I hope so. I felt bad for you last week.
I agree...packages from loved ones are great.
Is your door really open in the picture (background)with the girls in the boxes? Is it that warm there?
I have tears in my eyes! Kristi-you mean the world to me, I always hope my kids will grow up with a friend like you-to have for life. I never knew that about the packages I sent-I just try to find a little something for all your little hands to open (just a treat)Merry Christmas and Happy Mail to you!!! love, Heather
I too have taken to the clothing optional for kids way of thinking. Less to do and easier to clean. I love all your mail and loved your post about your Dad this morning. So sweet.
Totally agree on the clothes thing! Fun good mail. I think one big bonus living away from home is big packages from family. I got 3 big boxes of stuff this week too :)
Here Here on the clothes! Evie was not dressed yesterday either, much easier!
jane is that not so funny, ver perceptive. it was 74 yesterday. the weather here has been amazing! we feel spoiled
What a score on all the good mail. I love it that you took a picture of the cd actually in your purple cd player.
It's wonderful having a best friend from high school (I'm a lucky girl too) and how sweet of her to send your family gifts every year.
Caroline and Sally Jane look so cute in those boxes, my kids still like playing with boxes too. I can't believe it's so warm there!
Sally Jane is getting so big and she looks so cute in that box!
I'm jealous of the weather, we don't have snow but today while running errands it was only 24^! I want 74^!!!
Growing up we got Andes Mints every year in our stockings!! They will always remind me of Christmas. What a great friend to do that every year! I can't believe your weather!!
OK - you and Heather are so sweet and lucky!
I completely agree about the clothes.
Speaking of "good mail" - Kristi! I had tears in my eyes today, as well, because of good mail from you! THANK YOU!!! I am SO surprised!
Kristi? It's the 1990's calling--is that my CD player? Hee, hee--love it! Sally Jane looks so cute. I just love that hair!
I agree with the no close thing. I would have a load of laundry just from the clothes my son would go through in one day.
Heather sounds like an amazing friend! What a wonderful box she sent! It's a good lesson about how we never know the good we might be doing when we take time to do something kind for someone else.
Yeah, the weather is unreal, huh? What's up with 75 degrees in Virgninia on DECEMBER 19?! I must admit, I'm ready for a little chill in the air. I'm a winter girl and would love a little snow flurry!
