We have three lakes in our neighborhood. I love to walk by them. The above photo is one morning in November when I went for a walk in neighborhood by myself and took a bunch of photos. You can see it here if you want.
We try to go down to the lakes on Saturday morning if the weather is nice. I have been so amazed that our first winter in the East is nothing like I thought it would be. Last Saturday it was 70 degrees.
We are trying to decide what to do today. We have had a sick week with Jeff and the kids and don't want to push it. But if we don't go downtown today it would make two weeks in a row of not seeing our new city. Will President Lincoln miss us?
So we may just walk the loop and by the lakes and lay low. But with it being a 3 day weekend we could get in the car and go somewhere? oh the possibilities!

That's a great picture Kristi! Don't you just love your camera. I know I love mine, but I fear I am losing it to my husband. He is really enjoying it and I have to pry it out of his hands sometimes. Have a nice, healthy weekend. :)
What an amazing shot! And oh the trees! I miss them so. Mark wants to go buy a new camera this morning after seeing this one. Very nice.
What a beautiful picture! I wish I could tell you that your winters will always be like this in New England. Sad for us the one year we are not in New England this time of year it is gorgeous weather. However, the 10 degree snowy days can be fun too...perfect for a cup of hot cocoa and a book.
Kristi--Remember the old saying in the western movie "Paladin" where he says "Have gun will travel"? Your saying could be "Have fun will travel" or "Have camera will travel". I'm so glad you include us in all your plans and you've made me want to do more mini-exploring in my area rather than just waiting for the big trips.
Thanks for sharing your part of the country with me.
I am so jealous you live out east! If only I could convince my husband to uproot his life and job. That's not too much to ask is it?
What an amazing picture. I sometimes forget just how gorgeous it is in the East. If it weren't for that darn humidity I would live there in a heartbeat. Thanks for sharing the beauty of your neighborhood!
What beautiful photos. and a great way to spend a Saturday morning!
I loved that photo! Thanks for sharing the whole "loop" with us - you are so lucky to live in such a place!
I really enjoyed learning your camera story. Thanks for taking the time to write that yesterday. I love that you see the full circle - you seem to catch a glimpse of the big picture of your life often, which is a gift. And your photography is awesome! I look forward to more and more!
You live in an enchanted place! The pictures are incredible (so many gorgeous photos, you could make a series of cards out of those). You've been very blessed to live in the places you have gotten to live. I remember feeling the same way when I saw your pictures from your neighborhood in Tennessee. You're a lucky girl.
Love the pictures. Great camera, but it takes a good photographer to really get the awesome images. You are one with many talents. Hope you have had a great day...
This picture is breathtaking! I looked at your other pictures of your walks, and I love the little details you have captured - the pumpkins, the purse on the fence, the lovely gates. I loved going on a little tour of your enchanted neighborhood! I also really loved hearing the story of your camera on Rebecca's blog yesterday - very sweet, and it makes your pictures even sweeter.
michelle, all you have to do to get rid of feeling humidity is live in New Orleans for 4 years and then any place after that never feels humid again. hee hee
Beautiful picture. I think it's awesome you guys do so much and with your little ones. What an amazing place you must live in. I would love to take a walk in your neighborhood.
WHat a beautiful picture. I would love that part of the country, I think. I say, save the city for another day.
I would have a hard time not wanting to walk to the lake all the time. That picture is gorgeous! I would love to live around more trees, I find them so enchanting and pretty.
Can't wait to see what you did on your 3 day weekend!
i love that i get to live thru you!
Such an amazing photo. What kind of camera do you have?
