Gingerwood and Good Mail

tonight for Family Home Evening we made our Valentines Gingerwood House. It was a little crazy, it seemed like everything kept spilling on the floor from egg whites to candy hearts.

I loved seeing the icing go from white to pink. The floor was such a mess afterwards i had to take a photo.

on to good mail.

I got this darling card from Claudia talking about her liking of the soupie she got for pink Christmas. It was fun to think we both got mail from each other today.

My other good mail was from Lelly's Musings. Oh my this was a wonderful surprise. I had commented on her blog about these gifts she had made her friends and she sent me one. The idea of this is so brilliant! It is 31 questions to ask the one you love. some samplings.
  1. I think it would be romantic to..
  2. I feel loved when you..
  3. A few things that have been pleasant surprises about our marriage are..
Girl I think you have just saved me 100's of dollars in therapy. I keep thinking in my mind i could get some of these made before Valentines but it may not happen this year. Thanks so much. I also loved the concept of why she decided to make them you can read about it here.

I also started a smugmug gallery of the good mail labels. why didn't i do this sooner? Jill came up with the idea of good mail and then the labels to announce the contents in the envelope. Wondering what good mail is? Read all about it here and how to start it with the ones you love.

gingerwood pattern. I have it if you want it to make one for your family.
email me and I will send it to you. but do it fast before i start mass producing them and then start charging for it... hee hee!

And that little booklet sounds like it's a great idea for deep talks on date night!!!

I think you should make them and charge us - otherwise it will just be another pattern in the file of "ideas" for me.

I love seeing all of your good mail!

I love the Valentine's house. Very cute and such a fun tradition for the holidays. I'd love the pattern, thanks for offering! I don't really see ginger BREAD houses in our future because I think they are just too tricky...however, I love the ginger Wood! Brilliant!

LOVE the gingerwood house idea! I actually wanted to ask for the plans back in December but was too shy about it!! :) I will drop you an email! And can I say how much I love the cake plate, too!

Also, how sweet is that Lelly? Loved her cards and the idea behind it.
