Last years Valentines Card

This was my Valentines card last year. I know there are a lot of you who use Scrapbook Factory Deluxe program (you can get this at Costco) and you could make this in that. I made this in my Printmaster Program but you could use any graphics program.

A clicked draw an object and drew a circle. I then changed the shape to a starburst and filled it in dark brown. I made 8 of them. I then drew another circle, changed the shape into the lighter chocolate shapes and layered them on top of the dark brown wrapper. With the last shape being the heart. I drew a text box and placed it to the right bottom of the card. The font is from 2 peas in a bucket called Gift Box.

I printed these on Presentation paper and then xyroned (Amanda more to come) them onto chip board just a hair bigger than the printed card. It was like a post card. I put them in a clear cellophane envelopes (Michael's now sells these).

They really turned out great and just wanted to share. Or I guess you could just right click the image and paste into your program. I have been trying to get my Valentines out this week and just like my Christmas cards I have 3 different ones because I could not decide.

Happy Valentines Making!

That card is great! I so envy the creativity that just seems to pour out of everyone.

I finished my cards this weekend. None of them are alike and I am not sure that I like that. I guess it was just the mood I was in when I made them.

So glad you have remembered the Xyron question I asked!! I'm just off to do the school run now but am keen to read this post properly re:Valentine's cards when I get back.

I'm doing an Ornare pricking design for my husband, and very kitsch 50s style ones for Erin's school friends.

I've also been making oodles of Valentines envelopes (and procrastinating about actually making the cards that are going in them!) *blush*

It was fun to see you on my blog :)

The card is so cute and so creative! Thanks for sharing the software...I love doing computer graphics but have sadly been doing everything in Word!

I'll have to try and find this great software....too bad it doesn't come with your ideas!

You are a lifesaver! I am packaging up my nephew/neice V-day packages and cannot find the cards I got to go with them. Thank you for sharing this!

That is so dang cute. You have incredibly creative ideas. I am still so jealous that that program won't work on my Mac!
