But I can not give up the comfort of my Brown Mary Jane crocs. I know i look like I have elf feet but you can not beat this comfort. Have you seen my Croc journaling on smugmug.
I love this watch and have had it for two years now. I was afraid that it would be too funky to wear every day, but it is always with me. The back of each heart on the link says different words like, Love, Create, Joy. but....
I will never be able to give up my love for my Swatch watch! I love Swatch Watches. These are 3 of the 4 I wore in High School. (my banana scented one is missing) Oh the memories.
My new friend and candy bar is any Ritter Candy bar. (thanks to Pam in Chicago who started me on the kick) I can get them really cheap at the Military commissary in the imported German section. Target also sells them. The best chocolate in small wrapping. I usually buy a few when I go and am surprisingly good and rationing them. (may not be as good as my friend Mindy, but for me pretty good) One day when I was checking out the cashier asked me about my stash. I could not believe she had not tried one so I bought them and left her a few when leaving the check out.
(Good tip: cashiers love it when you buy them a treat)
But I will stay true to my old friend, Peanut Butter Twix.
I could not do a Self Portrait of me with either I had none on hand.
(so much for bragging about my rationing)
Thanks again Lelly for the challenge. i love how SPT's are such a great way to journal our lives. One thing I have really learned about myself through this is how my creativity in school always was interpreted as being rebellious. Like the deck of cards challenge. When an assignment was given my mind seemed to always go a different way, how can I make my object bigger than a deck of cards, or writing about friends, my first thought was not people but things. It is nice being in a world where my creativity is appreciated, and if it is not ... gee you can't fail blogging! Good self discovery for me for sure.

Cute take on the SPT Challenge. Are the Crocs really that comfortable? They just don't seem like they'd let your feet breath. I remember wanting a Swatch watch, but getting the old Flik Flak watch instead. Craig still has his Swatches though. Great SPT! Have a great day!
You are so funny. I guess when I think about it some of those treats are my good friends as well.
I actually have that EXACT swatch as you (the red middle one). I just can't part with it. I got it in 4th grade and still has some grains of sand it in from the playground.
Fun post!
Love your take on this challenge. Oh, the SWATCHES are a favorite of mine! Loved wearing a few at a time. In fact, in my college apt we had a GIANT swatch watch on our wall. It was great!
your creative posts are one of my favorite things about spt!
your creativity is on of my favorite things about blogging!!
Those Chacos look like the world's most comfortable shoes. I may have to find me some of those.
Love the creative twist. I may have to go this route and borrow your idea. I feel like I have done so many friendship posts and have many more to write, but just not today.
I remember that red plaid swatch. Do you still have the M&M's watch?
I love love love PB Twix! And swatch watches, and your shoes!
That was a fun idea!
It's a mark of your genius that you never approach these challenges literally, you always have a great spin on them. I, of course, am way too normal to do that. Aargh!
welcome to the chaco world!!! i always get my chacos at REI! they seriously mark them so low, lower then I can get them for.
I found your blog from Elizabeth's. I'm so glad that someone else wears a size 10 in regular shoes. I wear a size 12! in running shoes. When I was younger, the whole foot size really bothered me. Now, I'm comfortable in my own skin. :) I LOVE Chacos, and would have been all about those. :)
I have never seen them before (yes I live under a rock) but now I want some Chacos! They are dang cute!
Love the way you interpret the challenges, your brain is awesome! I almost always follow the letter and then think outside the box later down the road. Great post Kristi!
What? Chacos for $11.00?!? Girl, you lucked out on that one. I love my chacos and was recently eyeing those cute strappy ones similar to what you just got on the REI website.
I have had that chocolate before, too and think it is yummy. I think I had a white chocolate with hazelnut or something along those lines that I loved.
Cute Chacos! I've been eyeing them lately but can't really stomach spending the 80 or so dollars they spend. What a score for you!
You really are incredibly creative? Could you maybe spare a little? I could definitely use some! :)
Hi! Thanks for coming to visit my blog. I looked around your blog pages, and just GOTTA say I love all your family traditions! So much fun. I love making fun things for my kids to look forward to and holidays provide a great excuse to do it!
Oh man...your teachers missed out on a WHOLE lot by not letting your brain run wild. Think what they missed! Glad they didn't squish it out of you and we get to enjoy it, though.
I'm a Croc and Chac fan, too, definitely good friends.
I love the way your mind works. I am always stuck in the box, you are always pushing the boundaries, finding ways around. You may have struggled because of your creativity in school, but look where it's brought you today! I always did great in school, but now I am constantly wishing I could think in different ways. Thanks for inspiring me!
Love the swatches. I totally have one like the black one. Though the little plastic swatch "guard" thingy disintegrated over time. And those you cannot replace. I'll have to dig mine out.
I love my Chaco's too!!!!!!
Blimey, Kristi, if you're tall then of course your feet will be bigger. And you are quite tall, aren't you? I get that impression, anyway. As long as it's all in proportion, eh? :-D
I love Ritter Sport chocolate too. Is it really a bind to find it over there? *adds scribble to Good Mail list* Hahaha!
I had the 'tartan' Swatch too. I wore it in an exam and rued my choice, when I realised I had no numbers on the dial to check my timing against. D'oh!
I agree, SPT is a great 'adult' outlet for creativity. Your deck of cards SPT is a classic.
I love your creativity, as usual. I always enjoy checking your blog our for good ideas. BTW, I tried out your "Orange you glad it's Friday" idea a few Fridays back as teacher surprises and used real oranges. It went over very well, I think, a twist on the usual apple for the teacher!
Love the swatch watches! I forgot about those. I remember I wanted one sooooo bad as a kid. You always have such original views on things. Love it!
Cute Chacos! They are your shoes of destiny to find you like that.
Loved your creative take on the challenge, as usual!
I've never seen Chacos before--I guess I've been missing out. As you know, I'm loving the Mary Jane Crocs.
I had several Swatch watches, my favorites were the plaid and one that was see-through.
I love the way your brain thinks outside of the regular, ordinary, brown box!
I give your creativity an A+ and it's really hard to believe your school teachers didn't appreciate you!
I love those Ritter bars also. They sell them cheap here in our Asian Walmart kind of store. It is crazy what kind of stuff you can find in there.
oh so interesting, kristi!
