kind of funny

I just got a call from the a girl in my church group who asked me to do a class in June for the women at my chruch, on what to do in the D.C. area.

The date of the class will almost hit the excact date of our one year mark of when we moved here, and they are asking me?

I must give credit to the above photo. I did NOT take it but love it.

I'm not at all surprised Kristi! You've seen it all! I've actually been tempted to send my visitors your way when they ask me what they should do around here! Will you be my personal tour guide??

I was asked to teach a What to do in Houston class next week. Except I've lived here 12 years and have taught this same class 12 times.

You should turn your presentation into a book. I'm always buying "What to do with the kids" books when I visit other places.

sounds like a class you would be really great at and to think you'll have a lot of sp to show them.

You are perfect for that assignement! Honestly, is there any part of DC you haven't seen! I know if I ever make it that way, I am calling you up!

That is a gorgeous photo!

I'll bet you've seen more of the city than some of the life-long residents. You will do a great job! A lady here did that right after I move in. She had notes on all these places and pamphlets, they were all in a big folder for each sister. I passed it along to the incoming Tulane folks so they can go see all the great things here.

I think you should put it on your blog after the class is over so that if and when any of us get back there, we can do up DC, the Kristi way!

You will do great and everyone is right, you are perfect for the job!

I think they did pick the right person also. You have been every where! I love that photo also.

Hey, thanks for posting those great ideas for the teachers. They are perfect. Also, I did your St. Patricks day idea and my kids were the hit of the school that day. I made enough for the pricipal and secretarys and everyone loved them. Thanks!!

I can't believe it's already been a year since you moved there, that went fast. But you're definitely a great person to teach the class because you've actually done everything! I'm sure there are people who have lived there all their lives who haven't done half as much as you have.

Love that picture! And it sounds like your ward knows you well. We had a what to do in Oregon class a few years ago, and the girl we asked to do it had only lived here for a year, too. But she knew so many fun things to do, it was fabulous, and I'm sure yours will be, too.

I can't wait to see a post showing off all your new ribbon! I'm still trying to figure out a way to hit the ribbon outlet while we are in town! Hopefully we'll see you Saturday!

Good luck with this. It'll probably be good for you to have a 'project' like this to work on during the next few weeks.

Thanks for leaving me some comments on my blog. That really brightened my day.

We moved from Virginia about 8 months ago. We lived in Bristow (near Manassas) for two years. I love reading your blog. The only thing I don't like is that it makes me sad for all the things we didn't get to go see. Its awesome how you are taking advantage of the sights. I wish we had done more. Somehow life just got in the way.

I would love any printed handouts, links, etc you have for this class. I will visit that area soon and would love some fresh input. Every spring, at my church, we have a class like this. Even for those who have lived here forever, it helps plan a fun summer. We update the handout, which is now a booklet and give it to people new to the area at any point during the year.
