Tottoos

I thought this website was kind of interesting and worth looking at. It sells clear tattoos for your kids to wear in case they get lost.
With as much as we go downtown and do activities with our kids, I am more worried that we could get separated and have a hard time finding them as I am with someone snatching them.
So when I found this website I thought it was a great idea to stick on your kids hand before going out for the day. Especially for little ones who can't remember your cell number.

Because I am a make it myself type of gal, if you want to make your own you could buy this body sticker tattoos and have them on hand with your cell number for your kids to wear when you are going to a crowded area. Then you could even make them cute with graphics and such.

The last time I used my sticker Tattoos was for Annie Kate's 4th birthday party. They each had a tattoo put on their hand that said, "Thanks for coming to my 4th Birthday" My friend Stacy designed a graphic of Annie Kate's face, freckles and all. You should be able to find this tattoo sticker paper at Office Depot or Staples.

Oh, what a great idea! This would've been great when we went to Disney last summer! Might just try the DIY option this summer when we are out and about. Thanks bunches!

what a great idea! I'll have to remember this. I can't wait to make my bubble gum jars for the teachers at the end of school. I'm a new blog stalker of yours! Keep the great ideas coming.

The DIY tattoo sheets look fab, Kristi, and I will look for them over here. Brilliant 'goodbye' gift for a party.

The whole idea of 'labelling' your child is of importance to me right now as there is a little British girl missing in Portugal right now. The police believe she was abducted from her room in a holiday complex. I don't suppose a label would have deterred an abductor, but I think everyone here (the whole nation seems to be praying she'll be found alive) is thinking twice about where their child is...I've not let go of Erin's hand today!!

I wish we could put a chip in our children like they do to dogs. I know it sounds horrible, but at least we could track our children if needed. It's scary to even think about.

That is actually a really good idea, especially since Liam totally clams up around strangers and won't talk...even if he knew his phone number or address he wouldn't say. He won't even tell people what his name is if they ask...so this is actually VERY smart.

you always have the best ideas. That is brilliant! We go to Disneyland a lot and that would be perfect. Last time we were there, a Grandma had her two grandsons with her. She had taken a picture of the four of them and put it on a card, then on the back of the card it had their address, phone number, names of the kids and grandparents. She lamanated it and pinned it to each grandson. I loved it!!!!!

A great idea, and I love that you have a suggestion for making them yourself!

When we were at Disneyland we saw quite a few kids with a big piece of duct tape on their back with their name and phone number. Your idea sounds a lot cuter...

Thank you for the info! I love the Tottoos site and think temporary tattoos are a perfect way to protect my child when we travel! However while reading about the DIY method I came across nothing but horrible reviews of DIY materials and the finished product itself, which is just a little STICKER. On the other hand, I've only ever read great reviews about Tottoos.Org when I did the research on it. I would rather spend $15 to get a professional product than spend $15 for plain paper, then have to do all the work, and only get a STICKER, not something that would stay on my kids.
To research this, I googled "Tottoos.Org" and you can find out a lot about the company and the products. Compare that to the DIY info on Amazon.Com. Here is a link straight to the Amazon.Com from people who bought the DIY kits.

I've been using all kinds of different things I could find for this purpose, and I think the temporary tattoos idea is great! I looked into the DIY kit at Staples and it just looked too complicated for me to do, so I looked into the Tottoos' website. I had some questions, so I called them, and they explained in more detail what their product is, and I placed an order right then and there.

It's actually a decal, but it's not just a sticker that peels off easily. It's made with medical grade adhesive and is water resistant, which is great for me because my kids loves the water park!
Anyway, I looked for their reviews online and they've received great feedbacks. I can't wait to get my order and try it out!!
Just a note, my kids' pediatrician said to NEVER use permanent marker on the kids! Oops.
