window boxes

My window boxes are coming right along. I have lost my little, white flowers that shower over the sides and my yellow and green ivy, does not seem to be growing. I think I need more spikey plants in the back center, but so far so good.

This picture looks like something straight from a magazine! The colors are beautiful next to the red bench-a very pretty scene. It is officially Hot here.My potted flowers are hanging on for dear life :)Janae

It's looking beautiful, I'm glad you posted a picture. I think I need a professional soil analysis at my house because I bought two bigger ($30) plants and they're both at death's door. It's most upsetting.

I got one of those boxes for Mother's Day. I've been told they dry out in the wind really easily, and that I'll need to give mine more attention with the watering. Have you had this type of window box before? Do you agree this kind needs more watering?

Don't you love miracle grow. It really is a miracle!

We have little white Jazmine that pour over the top of our fence. They have started taking over the neighbor's yard too but she loves them. And the scent when the breeze blows! Heaven. I'm not a gardner and jazmine are the few flowers I recognize but I can appreciate beauty!

Love the window box!

i love your window boxes. Real Simple Magazine had an article about them this month. It featured some low maintenance plants to put in but they didn't have flowers in them.

They do look good! I love petunias. Maybe try some purple lobilia. They are pretty with the pink and it will grow over the sides.

I wish something like that would grow out here. I am afraid it's much too warm for them. They are stunning!

Lovely display. Can't think why your ivy hasn't taken...ivy usually runs amok!

Jill, have you checked that there aren't vine weevils in your soil? They absolutely decimate healthy plants.
