tonight on The National Geographic Channel I watched two shows that just may change my eating habits. One was The Science of Obesity. Oh my! They showed a MRI of an obese woman that had rotting moldy food in her body that has never been digested. That I am sure is where those Glo-balls could be found in my body. I don't remember the science of it all but that the more fat we have it is harder for our body to digest all of our food and eventually some may just stay in our body and rot! I am still grossed out by it.
The other show is Incredible Human Machine. this is AWESOME. They showed your whole digestive system from the food going in the mouth and watching everything it does to digest. It was amazing. It made me want to eat a pound of broccoli.
This show is awesome and worth clicking here to see when it will be on again.

These shows sound disgusting but fascinating, and quite possibly disturbing enough to make me start eating better. I'll check them out.
Oh how I LOVE anatomy, seriously I do, it was my favorite all time college class. I hope our library gets those movies.
Now see Supersize Me and read Fast Food Nation...that would be the good eating habit clincher.
Or maybe not because I have seen and read them and I ate Arby's curly fries tonight...will anything help me??
Add the McDonalds documentary, Super Size Me to your list if you haven't seen it already! I promise this will cure any McDonalds or any fast food addiction for that matter!
i wish we learned more about this when we were growing up and developing our poor eating habits!!
yuck, for sure, but hopefully it will help us kickstart some better habits.
These look cool- thanks for the info. I wonder if they podcast or you can download. I love shows like this, esp. when they really do inform and teach you things. Watching something on the process of the whole digestive system sounds so awesome.
Eww the whole rotting food thing is disgusting! IT does sound interesting though.
Hmmm. I suppose I should rethink the Doritos and Litle Debbies, huh? That show does sound fascinating, in a gross kind of way, but still...
Just think of how long our bodies will be preserved....
I have always been fascinated by these types of shows...I am definately going to look them up. Thanks for the tip
Ewww, yuck, undigested food???? That is really disgusting!
