My week of justified eating is over.
Last week I told myself I could eat whatever I wanted as my reward for finishing the marathon. I had been holing off for a month to make chocolate chip cookies because I knew I would eat too much. I surprised even me and was not even that hungry the few days after and didn't even care to indulge myself... Until I went to the store today and found a box of these.
I wish I didn't like these gross things but I do. I really don't know anyone else who does. And people don't just dislike these things they despise them. I am surprised they even make them because I feel like I am the only person I know who eats them.
I have read the calories 100 times and realized today that I was on the exercise bike for 30 minutes and burned of 174 calories. That means after eating one of these I only burned off only 4 calories. You would think that would detour me from buying them. But no it didn't. I still did. And I am sure they sit in my stomach for at least 3 years - hey but they have no trans fat!

Oh my Kristi! I love those things. I'm working on losing some weight, and so everyday that I have to go to the store is a struggle to walk past them. I don't even really like coconut, but I love these!
I saw those at the store yesterday and was thisclose to buying them. I'm such a sucker for junk like that!
I certainly have my moments at the store where I buy a box of something like Little Debbies or Ding Dongs and then feel like it's my responsibity to erase this purchase by eating them! This week I made pumpkin cookies and ate WAY too many, yet I told myself they were okay because of the pumpkin. And I haven't run this week yet either--not once. Sigh. (and chew)
What in the world are those things?! Hahaha! Blimey, you deserves it, have one or two (or 3 or 4!).
Do you have to hide these 'nasties' from the girls? It's terrible. We have to hide Pringles from ours. Then they go to bed, and we snaffle the whole tube!
I like them too!! Their calorie content is totally depressing - but I love them.
Oh man...I'm going to have to try them now.
Apparently you are not alone in your indulgence. I rarely buy them because I KNOW the nutritional info, but when I do I enjoy every last bite.
I got your mail yesterday- wow! I will refrain from using the comment forum to go on and on, but wow and thank you.
I've been on a gorge binge myself after the marathon. I gave myself license to eat whatever, and boy have I! I have now gained 5 pounds since my marathon that was only 3 weeks ago! Oh well, we deserve it!
Hey I thought I should introduce myself since I entered both of your contests and you have no idea who I am. I found your blog through Elisa's blog. Her sister-in-law Kelly is my husbands sister. Anyway, I read your blog everyday, just to get cute ideas and to see the creative pictures you take.
From October to January I get the worst sweet tooth! Baking, parties,
gift goodies, candy around the house - yikes!! If you only eat these for a bit, once a year - go
for it!HA! (easy to give advice, huh?)I've never tried them.
I'll take your word for it ;)ciao
:) too funny.
I have absolutely no desire to even try those. But I'm glad that you love them and are allowing your self to indulge. You deserve it!
My college roommate & I both loved little debbie cakes...one december we ate a christmas tree cake everyday until the end of finals....and I haven't eaten one since! Maybe I should check out those glo balls????
I make it a policy never to look at the nutritional information on packaging, especially on treats. When I recently gave Amie her very first mini carton of Ben & Jerry's she foolishly looked at the info. I screeched to her not to do so, but she did, and now I know that they think they are 4 servings in one of those tiny containers! I disagree, I think it's 1.5 maybe.
I love chocodiles! Love them! They are twinkies dipped in chocolate. Yum.
You do deserve to eat whatever you want this week!
i have had a ding dong craving for a very long time...i should just buy the things as i end up baking something else anyway!
i'm totally for the post-marathon eating fest. i was so disappointed after mine that i wasn't hungry at all for a couple of days. that changed. now i'm fighting to get it back together! :)
It amazes me how much I have to walk on the treadmill to burn just even 100 calories...yet it's so easy to eat 100 calories worht of treats ..hahaha
I have never tried those but they do look "kind" of good :)
hey- i'm with ya...i think they're yummy too! of course i've never looked at the nutritional information and think i will just erase what you said from my brain- ignorance is bliss! if you're gonna eat 'em, you gotta enjoy 'em!
you deserve the whole box!!!
That makes two of us....I love these! Let your self enjoy and then give yourself a cutoff date to cut the junk out.
glad you are indulging.. you so deserve it! my husband use to deliver hostess and wonder bread.. so it was a little tempting with those treats available.. but now he delivers little debbies.. I am not so tempted!
You deserve them! My grandma likes those, which always cracks me up, because she is a little bit of a food snob in most ways...
isn't it funny the stuff that we crave? i am so absolutely in love with nutty buddy bars from Little Debbie and am sure that i am the only person over the age of eight that eats them! but after your marathon eat anything you want, even if it is "glo balls!"
not to bring you down, but do they have hydrogenated oil? if so, they have trans fats...especially if you have more than 1...i can't recall ever having one, so i'm not sure if i'd like them? they don't look that bad to me though!
