A grateful heart.
Words can not even express how wonderful today was. Our last Sunday going to church was humbling and a year in the making. My heart is broken and full at the same time. I look forward to making an appointment with myself to write down my feelings of this year. Since it is 9:00 pm and I just walked in the door from leaving the house at 8:30 am, that appointment will be on another day.
Thank you to all of you who gave me such direction to do so.

awesome picture.. have a great night
What a very cool photo, Kristi -- great idea. I'm glad your last Sunday was so fulfilling!
LOVE this photo Kristi. Thanks for all you've shared this last year. What a blessing for your family and all of us that you have let in. Aren't you glad you have experiences recorded here on your blog. Another blessing for sure.
Thank you for sharing so much with us. What a treasure of a photo.
Here is my question:
What act of service was the best use of your time over the last year?
Love the photo. Can't wait to read all about your last day.
Kristi,
It has been beautiful for someone from the "outside looking in" to only catch small glimpses of what you must have felt and expereinced along the way. I love the photo and especially the pink purse:) My question would be... What experience did you most think would benefit someone there in that ward, and it ended up helping you individually in a way that surprised you. I know that it could sum up the whole year in general. Can you believe that the year there is now over? What a beautiful chapter of your life. Also...maybe let your kids convey to you in their own little words how they feel about the people they met and the things they were able to see through their eyes. A childs perspective is beautiful and priceless.
That is a great photo!
Thanks for such a great year of posts about your time serving this church.
YOu will have to post some background info when you get a chance, being Catholic we go to the same churh in our town every Sunday. So you going to a different church for one year and serving is interesting and I would love to hear where your going next or do you go back to your regular church and then do a different service for the church?
Thanks for sharing this year. What a great photo. And what a memorable day...your last day at the Downtown Ward and Presdident Hinkley's last day with us on earth.
How was serving different than you expected?
What will you miss the most?
What will be a relief to hae behind you?
What a fantastic picture to have, that's a framer! Your family has truly served over this past year and deserve great blessings. I hope you can find time for an appointment with yourself to share your feelings about your last day.
I love that picture. Your girls will treasure it one day. We have a photo of my in-laws after they left the Temple when they were in their early 20s. Their backs are to the camera, but they are holding hands and carrying their suitcases. It is really a special picture. So is yours.
I love that you took the time (and thought of in the first place!) to take this photo of your entire family walking the steps to church! What a blessing!!
