Leap into the Fun
Every holiday is worth celebrating even Leap Day, which is this Friday. I don't have great big plans or even ideas. But I did buy two bags of these plastic frogs at KMART for $3.99 (12 per bag) in their Easter section.
I am not sure what I will do with them yet, but I am sure Annie Kate will find one by her toothbrush, in her lunch and under her pillow. And my neighbors will probably find one in their mailboxes with little tags on them.
I am up for any ideas of fun Froggy things to do for Friday. So if you have fun Leap Year ideas feel free to share them here!!

what a cute idea! I'm going to run by kmart & surprise my kiddies this week!

Those are darling! Our kmart is pretty dingy, so I try to avoid it, but those may be worth putting on a hazmat suit and making the trip!

I never had thought about celebrating Leap Day - but why not? And, it just so happens that I like frogs. (The cute plastic ones, more than the real ones ;)

Thanks for the great idea!

How fun. I was thinking about it this morning when Family Fun emailed me a leap frog game. I'm going to have to think of something myself.

You're so clever. When you included a bag of frogs in the awesome box of goodness you sent me I didn't even question it. I just thought they were cute and spring-like, Leap Day didn't cross my mind.

You are so stinkin creative. Your mind must never stop! Quick question, speaking of holidays and ideas. You used to have a "traditions" on your sidebar that I frequented and used nearly every holiday. Is it gone for good? I'm really hoping not!!! So glad you are always willing to share such great ideas.

This is awesome!

We just got this flyer from the school about their Talent Show this friday, and it had frogs all over it, and said leap on over for a hoppin good time. I so didn't get it. Until now! THanks to you!

You are so creative!

P.S. I don't even think we have a Kmart here!

Love this idea. I wonder if I could explain leap year day to my kids.? I just know my 5 year old would ask again and again "why do we have an extra day?"

Kristi, I found them and snatched them up. I bought 4 packs at 1.99 each at our K Mart, but they come with one big frog and 2 the size you found. I wrapped them up one per bag in a cellophane bag, added a note cut out of green polka dot paper with my circle punch, added some frog stickers and some green creme de menthe hershey's kisses. Now they are ready for techers/librarians/bus drivers/neighbors for Friday.

Thanks for the awesome idea!

I love this!!! I bought frog stickers as a result of your creative idea and made little notes with the frog stickers on them to have my husband discover them throughout the day. Some of the sayings I put on the notes are about how wonderful it is to have an extra day this year to love him, he makes me leap for joy, etc. Thank you, Kristi!!! You are so amazingly creative! - Heather

Aargh, how I wish I could do this but we don't have KMart here, and I haven't seen bags of frogs anywhere.

It did cross my mind to do something 'leapy' for someone whose birthday falls on the Leap Year day, but the only person I know is the soon-to-be-ex-wife of a close friend, and she is not exactly 'flavour of the month', so that's a bit out of bounds :-(

Still, we have Mothers' Day here on Sunday, so I can concentrate on that. Good luck with dispersing the critters, though, Kristi!
