Easter Egg Hunt

The girls driving to the neighborhood Easter Egg hunt.
Caroline with her nice little stash.
Annie Kate post hunting

I had to take this picture because this is such a common position for these two little girls, this is Caroline's Sister Power Hug. Even though Sally Jane looks like she is choking she loves it.
seeing the girls with the Easter Bunny just made me laugh and remember my first job...

this is a photo of me inside the Easter Bunny costume as my first job at the mall.
(how sad to think how long ago this was and how vintage these Easter Bunnies look - I think about 1985)we sat on the balcony by the pool and watched the algae grow in the pool. I teased the front desk that they had done this for St. Patrick's Day. We are really exited to think of the pool opening up this summer and swim season coming back.
We played at the park after lunch and the hunt and the weather was so great! I have this obsession of taking photos of Caroline running, because nothing makes the girl happier then being outside and just running!!!Sally Jane is getting much more adventurous on the playground equipment. Oh my she just looks so much like Cyndi Lou Who in this photo with her turned up little nose.
So we packed up our Easter Egg baskets in the gator, full of way too many treats. (each egg was full of three candy bars) and headed home to sort the stash.

2 questions though...did you make the girls shirts? & did you make the tag thingys on their baskets?

I really should plan an egg hunt for my own little street. We have 25 children under 12 years old on our street, surely enough to feel like a party! Your girls looked like they had a great time. I'm also loving the tags.

we also had an easter egg hunt in our neighborhood park on Saturday....I forgot about it. I also spaced a birthday party later that afternoon. What's wrong with me?

It's nice you guys had such springy weather for your Easter Egg Hunt. We had snow flurries yesterday and are hoping for nice weather for Easter weekend next week.

It always cracks me up to see the girls driving themselves in that little car.

That looks like so much fun!

Why do they leave the water in the pool to grow algae? It seems like it would be hard to clean! Wouldn't it be easier to just drain it and refill in the summertime?
