Hope floats

tonight we left off wishes for someone we don't know. She is a blogger. She is a mom. She has the most incredible family traditions. She loves her husband. She loves her kids.
She and her husband were in a plane accident last week.

They have a family tradition of letting off balloons on their birthday with wishes for the birthday girl/boy.

So at 8:00 pm EST balloons were let off all over the world with wishes for her family. This was Sally Jane's wish.

like Design Mom says,
"Its like the Internet was born for stuff like this"

this Thursday is Nie Nie day, are you going to auction something off - don't be shy
click here to see how you can do something small that will have a big affect!

So awesome that you took part in this! My thoughts have been consumed with this tragedy. This accident has made me stop and take stock in my own life and open my eyes to things that I need to change for my littles. What a blessing to have so many friends, family and internet imaginary friends to help bless the life of another! Our thoughts and prayers continue to be with this cute family!

I have been so inspired by Nienie's family and the graceful way they are handling this tragedy. I too have looked at my life a little differently since hearing about the accident last week.

I too have been reading about and praying for Nie. I came across her blog back when her silhouettes were a hit. It's amazing how the Internet can be such a positive to help connect us all.

I just found out today. I am praying for them and their sweet kids. I'm overhelmed and can't stop my tears of gratitude for my life, my kids and the knowledge that families can be together forever!

Thank you for posting about this, I did not know about the accident. The balloon wishes and the upcoming auction are wonderful gestures of support.

Nie Nie is my sister's husband's brother's wife's sister. But isn't the world just one big family? We're praying for them too.

Such a sad tragedy -- and they have such a long road ahead of them with such a lot of physical as well as mental pain. My heart goes out to all of the family/friends who have come to their aid. We had a tragedy in our area this weekend when 10 were killed in a small plane accident --killed 9 members of a dermatology clinic. Our hearts go out to all of these people, and letting go of the balloons was a very special gesture.

What a small world this is. I was surprised to read that you blogged about a family from Arizona that was in a plane crash. That was the same plane that took the life of my husband's uncle. He was the pilot of that small plane that Stephanie and Christian were on. We continue to hope and pray for their family that all will be well.

Also, the plane crash that Sharon C. wrote about is my friends father-in-law and brother-in-law. How sad this makes us to hear about all the tragedies lately. It truly shows how precious life is.

I loved what Design mom said too. For all the naysayers and mockers of blogging, the outpouring for this family has been pretty amazing.

I'm excited to get to do something to help instead of just having their story consume my thoughts. I will be auctioning off a photo session on my blog on Thursday!
