On our way to Rhonda in Spain I had Jeff pull the car over so I could some photos of the incredible Sun Flower fields.
This is why I own Nikon D-80. It does all the work for you. I took this photo on automatic, I had no idea what I was doing other than pushing the little button on top of the camera. I had thought I would come home to do some photo enhancing on the sunflower photos - but none needed.
I swear the sky in Spain is a different color blue than I have ever seen in my life.
Can you believe this was just on automatic?
Can you imagine how much I am regretting not getting the kids out of the car and taking a family photo in the field? Silly Me.

You should make personal stationary w/ this picture on the front of it Kristi. It is gorgeous! Love all the pics...especially the monkey in the car!
this is gorgeous!
Beautiful picture! We are planning our Thanksgiving trip to Spain and I love seeing all your pictures and reading about what you did!
Great photo! You know, a lot of people seem to think that if you take a photo on automatic (as opposed to manipulating all the settings yourself) that it makes you less of a photographer, but I think the fact that you saw something, pulled over, and decided it was worth preserving is what photography is all about.
I have so many of those moments traveling with kids that we should have stopped and smelled the sunflowers more. Just so much road to cover getting in the way.
What a gorgeous photo! Are you sure you're not a professional photographer? ;)
just beautiful!
Seeing your sunflower picture makes me miss North Dakota and all the fields of sunflowers there!
Love it!
Before I read your words, I was thinking 'wow, I wonder what camera she uses?' Great shot!
I love sunflowers! WE planted some this summer, and I am still waiting for them to bloom, any day now!!
I love the picture.
wow, great color! I need to upgrade my camera. Any advice you have would be muchly appreciated. :o) 7waites at gmail dot com (if you have a second LOL)
This picture is stunning!! I have come to realize that most photos are once in a lifetime photos and this is one of them. There's no way you could recreate this day, the color of the sky, the brilliant bloom of the sunflower, etc. It's so great you stopped the car and took that!!
I almost always keep my camera on automatic, it makes it so easy.
Gorgeous. I'm glad you stopped the car! Love what Jill said about once in a lifetime photos. And I love automatic cameras!

i can believe it's automatic, nikon is the most fantastic camera! i too would be crying that i didn't get a family photo there - the sky is so blue!
i like the idea of making some personal stationery with it though, that's super cute!
