Oh what a feeling!

The day I took Caroline to go to the fabric store to buy her supplies for her Halloween costume was a great day. It was over a month ago and I thought for sure I would have it done by now, but I will be burning the midnight oil to get it done for sure.
She was so cute going in the store looking at the patterns, picking her desired character, she chose Lady Bug, searching for fabric and trims. She took her fabric up to the counter and even told them how much to cut (with much coaching in her ear from me)
As one who sews a little it is a glorious day when you see that rub off on your kids, great feeling.
I will also say the feeling of buying the costume in the store and having it be instantly done is also a wonderful feeling that can't be beat!

That is a face my Ian makes all the time. Those two remind me so much of each other.

Thankfully this year we were a bit ahead of the game with costumes, and so no midnight sewing for me this year!

T loved chatting with you over the weekend! His mind is a rollin'!

hahaha I love that picture of Caroline!! Your last minute sewing reminds me of when my mom used to have to whip out our costumes the day before! I can't wait to see the finished results :)

Whitney and I went to JoAnn's yesterday to take advantage of their 60% Halloween stuff (I needed a costume).

We decided to get some sparkly fabric to make a witch cape (still not sure how I'm going to do that) and ended up waiting at the cutting table for 15 minutes for our turn! I decided that standing in line at a fabric store is one of my versions of Hell!

I have fond memories of going to the fabric store with my mom when I was little. Sadly, my kids haven't done that with me for a couple of years! Good luck getting it done.
