Big day for me

So today was a big day for me and why don't I learn that when I try hard to take care of myself I always feel better. After coming home from my early date with the gym, I showered, put on make-up, did my hair (my fake perm of hot rollers for 45 min), got dressed and wore a belt! I never ever wear a belt, it goes against my love for elastic waist pants. I did this all before the girls woke up, they still screamed and wanted to be held forever but it was the first day Caroline has not been late for school this year.
Yesterday was Sally Jane's first day as a Sunbeam. She has been so sick all month that this was her first day back at Church since Christmas Sunday - wow. She did great, sat right with the class and was thrilled to come home with a baby Jesus craft that she made.
In honor of the Super bowl I sure found one (a Super Bowl) at Goodwill today, only $5.99. Large glass punch bowls are so hard to find and this one with the scallop top was pretty awesome. I am debating of who to give it to. My friend has had me on the look out for one forever, but just this morning the new lady I visit teach called to ask if I could bring my punch bowl to her son's baptism. So I think how neat would it be to give it to her to keep and pass down to her son. I realize not everyone is as sentimental as I. I am torn - My other friend is a southern gal and throws great parties and would totally use it, but the lady I visit teach would never buy something like for herself and I think it would mean a lot to her.

So, what should I do?
a) give it to my southern friend who has wanted a punch bowl forever and has asked me to look for one
b) give it to the sweet lady I visit teach who will have no family at her baptism and would really appreciate it too

Feel free to vote in the comment section A or B.

i think since the lady asked you to bring one to the baptism...you gotta do that!

you will find another bowl and maybe an even better one for your southern friend cause you were so kind giving away the first one!

PS
i'm doing your 100 things book for my son's teacher kindergarten teacher.

i'm not doing the money part (i hate to ask people for money w/ how things are right now)...i'm sending home the questions and then will upload pics and type the answers and print a small Blurb book and then have all the kids sign their name in it. i think each kid will get one page for their quotes and pics. this is the less crafty version for people who are not artsy!

I think I would give it to the lady you visit teach~and continue to be on the lookout for your other friend!

I think you are a great friend for even thinking of them both! :)

I'm glad the morning/day went better for you!

I would give to B since she has a deadline and specific event. You're in Goodwill enough, just keep an eye out for another one for A.

Hope this helps.

Great job getting up this am...I applaud you and wish I could do it!

I vote for lady B. This is a one time opportunity to give her a punch bowl. If you find another great bowl in a month, you can't give it to her then. She needs one now! Your other friend will still want it in a month.

I am so impressed that you got up at 4:45 and went to the gym!

I agree with everyone else. I love the blessings of VTing, so why not take the opportunity to bless the teacher you visit teach. (And, if she's not the sentimental type and doesn't want to keep it, then you've still got it for the Southern friend!)

Wow, a belt! I don't even know if I own a belt. Glad you had a better morning--you did so much before most people were awake--that's great.

I say give it to the lady needing one for her son's baptism. I thnk it will be an unexpected and much appreciated surprise.

Who knows, you might just run across another one for your other friend fairly soon.

I'm with everyone else...B.

You are in good will every week and you'll find the perfect punch bowl soon enough.

I don't even remember the last time I wore a belt. Years really.

So glad Sally Jane could be a Sunbeam now!

okay I am going to go against everyone else on this one. Not knowing either ladies. I would give it to Lady A. You know she has been looking for one and would use one. If Lady B just wants to borrow one and maybe she isn't the type to use something like that, or even have the room to store it. She might not really appreciate what an awesome gift it is. I'm just saying.

B all the way. What if you took a picture of the lady with it or just the bowl and put it on a card and sent it to your friend and told her the story and that you are still looking for her punch bowl?

Good job getting up and going- you rock!

B because it has meaning.

I'd probably go with B. She will be thrilled and I am sure you will come up with something equally as thoughtful for the woman holding the baptism.

Good for you on all accounts today! You rock!

PS What are my chances if I told you that I have been on the look out for a punch bowl too?

Just teasing!

You will find one for A sooner than you think and then everyone wins.

Silly girl ... you know it is an easy choice .. vote B. Your friend would totally understand and you could always keep your eyes open for another bow for your friend. :)

I think you should make another run to GOODWILL and find another bowl. Give them both away. YOU always find things - I never find a thing when I try to be thrifty and fun! HA!
YAHOO for you and getting all that done BEFORE the girls even woke up! THAT is huge!!!!

I can't believe you did that all before your girls woke up. Wow. That is a great way to start your day indeed.

And what a cute belt!

B..totally.
You'll find another one for your southern friend!

you're a good person!!

You gotta go with B. If A is a true southern girl, she will completely understand besides the perfect bowl is out there for her, and if you don't fine it one of us will!

I'm impressed that you wore a belt! I can't remember the last time I did that...

Eva always wants to be held and snuggled when she gets up in the morning. For a looooong time. My boys were like that, too. I fought it hard, but finally realized that their day went better if they got holding time in the morning. It sure is hard, though, when I want to get going.

I vote for friend B!

Friend B. She has a deadline and while the other friend will use it, not at such a close up coming event. You'll find another one, probably even better because you were so giving with the first. It's at least the 3rd or 4th you've found around there isn't it?

What no fake perm photo? I do like the belt (of which I don't even own) but I want to see the hair curly!

Erk! This is the drawback to being a grown-up...we have to make difficult decisions!

I say B.
Because...

Your friend is probably your friend because you are so totally kind and generous, and caring, and thoughtful and, as your friend, she will instantly understand you and just think, 'Okay, next time is fine.' And she'd also appreciate the need to do this for the other lady so that she can feel part of your friendship circle.

Does that make sense?
It's gorgeous by the way. It must weigh a tonne!

That punch bowl is gorgeous!

Hmmm...that is a tough decision! If you know the gal you vt would really appreciate it you should give it to her.

I love to go thrift store shopping, and always end up finding punch bowls with around 12-15 cups for about $5! If you're even in the Portland, OR area I'll take you to the best thrift store in the area and you can grab one for your friend! :)

it's gotta be B. And that coming from a Southern Gal who wishes you were speaking of her when talking about giving such a beautiful gift. Alas, I do not have a punch bowl. Always have to borrow one. : )
