Brian and I went to the Music and the Spoken Word broadcast taping this morning and it was incredible. The choir was accompanied by the Air Force Reserve band and they played a bunch of patriotic songs, including one with bagpipes. Bagpipes get me every time (tears streaming down my face). Before the broadcast they had all veterans and active duty soldiers stand up to be recognized, and then separately had the family members and loved ones of soldiers stand up. It was amazing to me the number of people who have made sacrifices so that we can enjoy our freedoms. Happy Memorial Day!

A movie for every American to see and especially so at Memorial Day is "Taking Chance" with Kevin Bacon.

Thank you, Mr. Pink, and many, many, many others for all that you do for this country.

It is an honor knowing your family.

Thank you for posting this, Kristi. My family and I watched it on TV tonight. We answered lots of questions from our kids and shed quite a tears.

Thank you for serving our country.

The concert was a great tribute to those serving and have served our country through their military service. Many thanks to Dr. Pink for his service. My heart is full after watching the concert.
