This is Jay Cutler.

He is not related to us, but if he was we would be huge football fans. (because we would get great seats) He grew up in Indiana and was a football star. He went to Vanderbilt University at the same time Jeff was doing the end of his residency and his entire fellowship. He was the quarterback. Many of Jeff's patients would ask him if Jay and him were brothers. Then one day someone asked Jeff if Jay was his son. That day Jeff knew his must be getting grayer.
Jay is a great football player.
Jay left Vanderbilt and moved to Denver to be the quarterback for the Denver Broncos.
He signed a 6 year contract for $48 million dollars with $11 million dollars in bonus'.
Then this year Jay moved to now play for the Chicago Bears.
(after lots of football trading drama)

So to sum up.
Jay Cutler
Indiana
Tennessee
Denver
Chicago

This is Jeff Cutler.
He grew up in Seattle.
He was a superstar at his paper route and an amazing skier.

He moved to Utah to go to BYU.
He was still an awesome skier and became a great fly fisherman.
Jeff knew skiing was expensive.
He wanted to be a P.E. teacher but didn't know if he could afford to be pay for skiing.
So he graduated in P.E. (because he loved it) and then moved to New Orleans to become a doctor. This was his very first day!
(grrr he is handsome!)
Then he moved to Tennessee and went to
Vanderbilt and signed a 6 year contract where he would work for free
and get a free Turkey each Thanksgiving for a bonus.
He was also now a dad of three cute little girls
(oh ya and he got married to a dang cute girl back in Utah)
Then he moved to Washington D.C. to work as an Dr. in the United States Army.

It came time for him to make his first decision of
where he now wanted to work and live with his family.
He could choose from any state in the country.

He visited lots of places for a year trying to make his decision.
He loved every place he went and had a really hard time making a decision.
When he went back to Seattle he thought this sign was a sign welcoming
him back to his home town. He loves, loves Seattle.
Then he realized it was for Ken Griffey Jr.

After lots of thinking, studying,
map searching, comparing and praying
the Seattle boy who loves skiing made a decision.

He will always be from Seattle but will be settling in Denver.
Where one Cutler leaves another will come take his place.
I just wish we could afford Jay Cutler's old house!

So to sum up
Seattle
Utah
New Orleans
Tennessee
Washington D.C.
and now
Denver here we come!

What an adventure!
I know nothing about Colorado except they take good care of their highways, and the drive from Salt Lake to Vail is beautiful. I am just glad you will be closer, maybe I'll see you more often!

I am sure you are happy to have that out!!!! At least you will be a little closer to me, although Seattle would have put a lot of miles on 1-5 for us! Congratulations. Can't wait to hear where you choose to live! ---Heather Cook

I commented on your blog a long time ago, but have to comment again... Colorado is awesome! I have lived here now for 7 years and have loved it. Highlands Ranch is a great family community! You will love Denver. Good luck!

Okay, so I've been following your blog for some time. And as you may we lived in Colorado (you sent me some cute magnets then). We moved to Utah a year ago.

I am so excited for you and a little surprised. I thought FOR SURE you would pick Seattle (my hubby and I were married there - so I agree it's a good place). I think you will love Colorado!

We lived in Brighton, a suburb to the NE. There were 2 doctors in our ward, one family practioner and one pediatrician. Colorado is a great place for families! There is lots of hiking and skiing. And housing is quite affordable there compared to other cities.

I don't know where you are looking to live there - but if I went back I would probably choose Highlands Ranch or Parker. As long as it was not too far from my hubby's work!

Congratulations and Good Luck!! I'm so excited for you guys!!!!!! :)

I'm sitting in Chicago watching Jeff Cutler play for "da Bears" and wishing that your Jeff Cutler and family were here. But alas . . . Denver is a wonderful place for your family to set down roots. And some Denver neighborhood is about to win the lottery - - having Jeff Cutler and family move in. Best wishes!
Very creative reveal!

We made some wonderful friends & hated to leave. I can't wait to read all about it :)
