My thrift store visits have been in abundance over the holidays - but since most of what I have bought it being given as gifts, I don't want to ruin the surprise for anyone, so I haven't shown off my stash. This little vase was something that I decided to keep for myself. And at $3.99 I thought I deserved a little spoiling. it is a group of mini glass vases all together that make it's own bouquet with even the smallest of flowers (like these lime green mums from Costco)
I also thought it would make a great place to keep paintbrushes. I considered it giving it to Annie Kate's art teacher but just got a bite of the keepers* on my right arm while in the thrift store, and there was only one (as I am sure it is an antique - ha ha)
As I am just dreaming of days and days of gardening for my future (I mean how can I not, my Dad has his PhD in dirt, yep he is a dirt doctor, I am sure to have a green thumb) I thought this little vase will constantly show off my gardens hard work.

Have you even been bit by a keeper?

*keepers are small bugs that often bite you when you are shopping for others. Their bite rushes a feeling throughout your body that encourages you to keep the item for yourself. While their bite is not lethal it can often cause you to buy more than one item at a time. It is not a proven fact but some large store my raise colonies of "keepers" in their stores during the holidays.

I am such a keeper. I really like the vase mostly because it is so unique.

That is such an unusual vase and definitely worth being bit by the Keeper Bug. Hope you heal quickly! :)

I'm often bit by KB when shopping for others--it can so hard to keep focused on what I was looking for in the first place.

I love the vase, and yes I get bit all the time! I find myself wondering if the person I'm shopping for would enjoy/like it as much as me. By the way, I just wanted to say how much I enjoy each and every one of your posts. You make my day everytime I read a new one. Thanks!!

That's a very cool vase, I've never seen one like that before.

I've been bit by the keeper many times in my life, but usually have to slap the bite and walk away.
