4th of July


I still have big plans to document our New York trip with words and photos, but until then our little slide show movie will have to do.

Here is my summary in a New York minute
  • caught fireflies in Central Park
  • grocery shopped at Balducci's
  • Ran in central park (it was amazing and there were so many people i felt like I was in a race- but was the slowest one by far)
  • Times Square
  • Rode the Ferris wheel in Toys R Us
  • M&M factory
  • American Girl doll store (bet Jeff was wishing he had all boys that day)
  • Rockefeller Center
  • Nap
  • Stardust Diner
  • Night tour on a double Decker bus given by our drunk tour guide (it was a tad R rated)
  • Uptown tour on a double Decker bus in the daytime with an awesome tour guide
  • Serendipity
  • Dylan's Candy bar
  • 70% of everything at the fabric store and missing the notions by minutes!
  • Nap
  • Surprising Annie Kate with wicked tickets minutes before the show started
  • An appearance on the Today show
  • Cruise on the Hudson River
  • Seeing the Statue of Liberty on the 4th of July
  • Brooklyn Bridge
  • Grimaldi's amazing pizza (worth the 45 minute wait)
  • Brooklyn Ice Cream factory
  • Taxi ride home
  • Natural History museum
  • Columbus Circle
  • Time Warner building
  • Pinkberry - very yummy
  • Saturday sleeping in
  • seeing Scott and Melissa and fam
  • Hello Kitty store (i don't know who was more excited me or the kids)
  • Mary Poppins
  • pizza
  • first trip not using a stroller
  • Wall Street
  • New York Stock Exchange
  • Ground Zero
  • Sarabeths for breakfast
  • Walk in central park
  • Little Mermaid
  • driving home with no traffic!
  • good night's sleep.
What we wish we could have had time to do
  • go to the top of the Empire State building
  • spent more time in Central Park
  • gone to Alice's Tea Cup
  • eaten more pizza
  • walked across the Brooklyn Bridge
