(bib found at K-mart in a three pack for $.99
embroidery girls, run to get some... easy gift)

buy those hangers

Thanks to Stacy (have you seen her new header) for coming up with ideas for all those old pant hangers I see at every garage sale, I picked up a few a month ago.

I am going to a baby shower tonight for a girl that goes to church in our congregation that is close vs the one downtown. I am always thrilled to get invited since I don't get to see them all so much anymore.

When ever I buy those cute Carter clothes that come with the plastic hangers, i feel bad when I throw the cheesy hangers away, because the new mom may actually want them. I just can't seem to wrap the gift with the hangers attached. (kind like my fetish about hanging plants in the plastic bucket they come in from the gardening store... must replant)

So I came up with hanging the gifts for tonight on the wooden hangers. Which I think would be much easier to hang baby clothes on anyway.

I looped some ribbon on the shoulders with a pin and the hung the onsie by the ribbon. Then I tied a chunky ribbon at the top of the hanger. Wa-la!

it is days like this when I am giving a baby gift to a girl I just met, and still have not sent a gift to my friend of 12 years a gift for her 5 month old - I feel like a total smuck! Jen, I have not forgot about you.

  4. Kristi, I was going to quote your 'mind works faster than my hands' in your profile as an excuse for dragging your heels with your friend's baby gift, but your About Me has disappeared!

I love the different ways you use ribbon.

  6. Too true about the friend gift. We had 12 babies born in our ward last month each got a shower gift from me. My best friend adopted a new baby last month and nada! Thanks for the reminder, tomorrow nothing will happen before that baby gets a gift, you know, except for getting kids out the door, and laundry and exercise and...

    Cute hanger!

  8. I was just thinking the other day how much I wished I had an embroidery machine. I saw so many "potentially" cute things.
