Sunny ThursdayI took Sally Jane to the dentist yesterday and it was the wrong day and wrong time. This is her walking out the door pulling her pound puppy.

because it was Thursday, Jeff came home with food from the commissary - our second week at doing a weekly shopping trip. I am the worst grocery shopper ever. And keeping me out of the grocery store may start saving us money. I love how much we can fill these gray shopping bags for so little money.

our good friend turned 40 yesterday and he loves Mountain Dew. So we gave him 40 cans of Mountain Dew with a card that says
"Keep Dew'ing what you are Dew'ing - you look great"
Laundry basket, cellophane wrap and ribbon can make even Mountain Dew even look cool

Caroline enjoyed the sun yesterday and hung from her favorite tree. She feel right out of it too, got right up and climbed back in. She is so tough.

I must document Sally Jane's favorite food - Slim Jim's. I realize they are not real food. She calls them meat sticks and could be
gnawing on them all day if I would let her.

if you see her she will probably have one in her right hand.
you're incredible! Mountain Dew & cellophane?! Genius!
ReplyDeleteLove the pictures of your darling girls!
Cute Dew gift and the slim jims crack me up!
ReplyDeleteWe all have different talents- I've never thought of grocery shopping as one of mine... but I guess it is.
ReplyDeleteThe most incredible ideas~ YOURS TALENT FOR SURE! I love the mountain dew laundry basket. You're the best at SHARING- THANKS :)
Love the mountain dew gift!! So cute!! So are your girls!!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great gift idea. I think Sally Jane liking those spicy slim jim's is funny.
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun thing to "Dew" for your friend!! I love your blog!!
ReplyDeleteMy kids call their beef jerky "BAT." They got it from a scene in The Three Amigos where they are camping and eating cooked chewy crunchy bat. It's pretty funny to hear my kids ask for BAT.
ReplyDeleteLove the Dew!
ReplyDeleteLuci loves beef jerkey too but me, I think it resembles dog food. She loves it as a treat and we use it for long car rides and airplane treats - not as sticky/messy as candy!
I love SJ's outfit! So cute. The slim jim is seriously funny!
ReplyDeleteMy 8 year old, Preston LOVES "meat sticks" and even got a can for his birthday last year! Too cute!
ReplyDeleteHooray for SUN!
I love that mountain dew gift. how you come up with these things is so beyond me.
ReplyDeleteSJ eating Slim Jims -- that totally cracks me up! I'm sure Eva would turn up her nose without even tasting one... she has on the cutest shirt, too!
ReplyDeleteI love SJ with the meat stick! Hilarious.
ReplyDeleteYour Dew gift is so creative. I love it and am totally using it on the next given chance.
I love it when you post gifts you've given because then I CAN COPY THEM!!!
ReplyDeleteAnd you're right: cellophane makes any random thing look luscious.
Again Kristi you amaze me - so thoughtful and talented!!! Its so interesting how kids tastes - all three of mine like different things, it can be a little crazy at times especially because my eldest is a Vegan, its been fun finding things that she can substitute for "normal" food. My husband keeps saying it will pass -fads always do, but shes been doing this now for 3 years and I think he needs to get used to the idea!!!
ReplyDeleteOne question, last year you posted a comment about milk flavouring straws that you found while you were overseas - did you every find them??? I sent you a message to say we can buy them in the grocery store here in Australia, so if you send me your address - to thomas_mandi@hotmail I can send you some. We have chocolate, strawberry and bananna.
Have a great week - Mandi....xx
