"My mom came home from BYU women's conference and all she brought me was a shirt with the letter Y on it.  Doesn't she know that is the last letter in my name not the first."

The girls survived another weekend with me at Women's Conference.  They will treasure that weekend with Jeff as they had him all to themselves.
Because the morning we got home started a new, wonderful journey for our family.

Jeff was called (when I saw called I mean asked of by our Heavenly Father) to be the new Bishop (when I say Bishop I mean local leader) of our ward (when I say ward, I mean congregation) here in our new area.
It was a very sweet and tender Sunday for our family.  I will say very little bit about this in the next 5 years on my blog and keep those thoughts in my journal.  But we have increased our belief in the fact that Heavenly Father knows us by our very name.  He will prepare his people for what he needs them to do.  We have a responsibility to give back for blessings we have received in our life.
The next day Jeff reminded us of what we already knew, his family comes first and jumping on the trampoline with his kids and kids from the ward will be at the top of his list!

A testament to the fact that our Heavenly Father knows us individually for sure! I'm so glad I was able to hear about his call while you were here, thank you for sharing.

I completely understand why you won't be blogging much about this, but I wish you could. I want to know all about it!

I love it that Women's Conference fell the week before he was sustained because it was such a special thing to hear about. I know he will be a fantastic Bishop and know your family will be so blessed!

Here's what's cool about you, Kristy:

You have spoken so positively and lovingly about your husband all these blogging years. I feel like I know him, too. I'm thrilled for your ward to have an awesome new bishop.

There's a zillion more cool things about you, but that's a really REALLY cool one.

Loves!
