Turtle time!
Near Grammy and Papa's house is a Turle reserve. Papa has told the grandkids the first one who can find a turtle gets 25 dollars. The past visits from other grandkids has caused quite a hunt in hopes for the money!
This morning I took the three girls for a walk while the guys were having a blast golfing. (their house is by the 18th hole) Right as we started to walk on the dirt out of the development we spot a turtle. Annie Kate was so excited. She had brought a cup in hopes to catch a lizard. She threw the cup down and said, "oh this is so much better" We wrapped him up in a towel and then put him in the jogger and that meant that Caroline had to walk home. We kept him the back yard until the guys got home. They took him back for two reasons, one he was too hard to keep track of and two, i guess you can get in big trouble for even touching the turles, let alone taking them away from their home. But to our credit, he had crossed the turtle reserve fence.
So for any St. George environmentalists reading this, we actauly saved his life from getting run over by a golf cart.
... and Annie Kate already has big plans for her earnings.

Cute picture, and what a fun adventure. Apparently she's a criminal, hee.
Your pictures of St. George brought back so many fun memories from college. Once, my date got stuck in those narrows Annie Kate hiked to. I think Jeff has the right idea, go get all your culture and traditions from the East and then relive the memories in the St. George sunshine.
Just as clarification, the turtle was out of the preserved area and was in danger of being hit by a car if he went in the road -- so the turtle's life was preserved!!! Cute pictures and we had an awesome time with them here.
That wasn't turtle poo that the turtle was by in that pic was it?
We used to look for turtles in the desert by my house in So Nevada too, now there is a freeway there, I wonder where all the turtles live...
Great photos!
