Love that commissary

Jeff found the deals of deals at the commissary last week. 24 bottles of water, 25 oz each, for $1.99. Hello food storage. He went back the next day and about 15 flats. I finally feel like I am on my way to start my emergency supply.

It's always pleasing to see a big stash of water bottles in your food storage. I try to buy some when I go to Costco each time, we've got a decent supply in our garage. We didn't get commissary prices though!

Please tell me he put some diet coke in there too! :) That is awesome! Every little bit of emergency preparedness makes me rest easier!

That is a great find. The only thing I would do is to check to make sure it has a date on it, if not we were told recently that bottled water sometimes (without dates) might only last three years, that is why they have you rotate it. Our friends found a date, and they have to start drinking since it expires in little less than over a year, and they have a lot of water.
I love food storage good finds

I love good emergency preparedness finds too. We have two water barrels full of water which we keep outside in the shade. I keep drinking all the water I buy at Costco! I need to restock. That is one thing you can't have too much of in an emergency!!

Thats so great! I couldn't really have one in SLC in my tiny apartment. I didn't want my bed made out of MRE's. (you know from The RM) But now that I'm in a house it's time to start mine. Thaks for reminding me! Costco here I come!!
