So today the girls and I went about 45 minutes north to the most awesome ribbon outlet. (thanks to a blog reader whom I have never met that emailed me to give me the scoop, talk about "good email"
I had a friend who had been visiting from Utah go out there last week and she showed me her stash and I could resist no longer and so made the trip up.
It was INCREDIBLE. I was amazed. It seemed like the day we went all the specials were half off.
AK and I found one box that just had loose ribbons, everything else is on the spool, that was as much as you could shove in a bag for $.50, yes.. Cents! We were laughing so hard shoving the ribbon in. When I got home I counted 30 yards in just one bag.
I found some great deals for 50 yards for $3.00. The girls spent most of their time shoving packing bows in a grocery bag for fifty cents.
I got a bolt of 60" wide mustard yellow upholstery fabric with embossed bees for $4.00 for the whole bolt! It probably has 12 yards.
It was so much fun, the girls had a blast picking out ribbon packages for ten cents. I really could go on and on like my 100 yards of red velvet for $1.00.
It was a great find and a great day!

Was it Elisa's sis-in-law? She has an awesome ribbon store in the D.C. area? Oh, or maybe you are close to TWO stores...even better!
Yes it was her. she is a wealth of information
Sounds like a great day! I love ribbon outlets. I only wish there were one closer to Nashville. Please email me the name and location of the store so if I ever find myself near there for work I can stop in and get crazy with ribbon!
My sister shops at that outlet store! I have her mail ribbon to me! How great that you are finding so many treasures in such a fantastic part of the country!
cristin, i think it was your sister who told me about it.
Love the finds! The emroidered bee one sounds so darling. Blogging is the best networking, isn't it?
What a ribbon bonanza, I'd love to go there and am happy for your great shopping haul!
I wish I could go! Ribbon heaven :o) The pics made me so jealous!
I am so jealous. I would go crazy in that kind of store. I might just need to dash up there for a quick visit.
Sounds like Miss Kristi has found her Mecca! What a great store, and the ice cream shop looks so cute. My dad wants to open a throw back movie theatre like the Majestic- I think people from that era just love the decor and architecture of the time.
oh. my. gosh. I am so jealous! 100 yards of red velvet for $1.00? Seriously? You and the girls must have had SO much fun!!
