We got the girls each their own fishing pole, packed our stuff and our on our way to the lake for the weekend. We found a house rental on the lake for the weekend and are off for our first family vacation with just our family. No wedding, graduation, farewell, homecoming, funeral or reunion. We feel like grown-ups.
(i wonder when I should break the news to Jeff we are stopping
off at the ribbon outlet, on the way there or the way back...poor guy)

Happy Columbus Day!
Here are some fun things to do with your family

Congrats on spending time with just your own little family just because! I know you'll have a great time and I'm looking forward to seeing the many great photos and reading all about it.

Sounds like a fun weekend. I have some ideas for this weekend since my kids are off Monday and have a half day today. Happy Columbus day!

Have fun on your family trip! We are probably going to go pick apples and pumpkins at a local farm tomorrow. Ben doesn't get Monday off, but we are going to go down to meet him for lunch since he will be heading out of town Tuesday night. It should make for a nice Fall weekend!

What a fun blog...I found you by going from blog comment to blog comment...and don't remember how I got here.

I love the idea of putting down traditions and sharing them w/ the rest of us. I have a bunch that I have "borrowed" from others as well as the ones I grew up with.

I look forward to following this blog for awhile!! BTW...do you do the monograming on the stuff you make? ie..the ribbon on your door and the stuff on the tooth fairy pillow? That is amazing........

I hope you guys have a really great weekend. We have only taken one trip just for us. We are also always visiting, meeting someone, or going to an event. I can't wait to hear about it when you get back!
