Valentines Day celebrating will officially start in our house on Feb 1st. We love to be in love around here. I am in a complete dilema of what cute thing I can do oh I mean help Annie Kate do for her Valentine cards. I love to get them done early.
One of our Valentine traditions (credit to my friend S. Deere) is that we have red pillows with our names on them that sit on our bed all month. They each have a pocket on the front to hold love notes from the family. Each day you can write what you love about that person and slip it in the pocket. Last year Jeff filled ours with little gifts a few times.
On the actual day we always have a special breakfast with a little valentines trinket at the table (credit to my mom) Balloons on the mailbox when Annie kate gets home from school, (my girlfriend puts a cute mylar balloon on the end of her kids bed so when they wake up in the morning it is there, credit to P.Cram) i am sure i will make some valnetines outfit for school this year, the valentines fairy (credit to J. Rogers) comes at night and rings the doorbell and runs and leaves a trail of glitter behind with some gift, I usally go to the dollar store and buy some silly heart stuff.
I know i admit i go a little overboard on the holiday thing but i love any reason to celebrate. i am looking for some new valentines traditions so if you have any please share!
These simple pleasures are what make me so happy. How darling is this birth anouncement in a baby shoe! This is from one of my favorite card designers Stacy Claire Boyd who is of course from the south. All great things come from the south. I love making birth announcements, i love designing them. Ahh the love of paper.

Joseph...
So much for only putting crafty stuff on. Today the missionaries from my chruch called me and asked if they could come over in an hour to share a video with someone looking into our church. my house was a mess the kids were crazy, but i said yes. It was the best two hours i have had in a while. We watched the story of the prophet Joseph Smith. It was a great day.

My friend made this album, "Jospeh, a Nashville tribute to the prophet" if you ever have a chance to buy it do so. You can get it on itunes, walmart.com pretty much anywhere.
It is unbelieveable. I have it in my car and listen to it all the time.

today i realized what wonderful things i know and that i tend to take them for granted.

So here is my first post. Thanks to my friend Jill who gave me a one one one lesson to set up my blog i am here. I am hoping to get all the ideas out of my head that at times give me a headache. I am posting one thing that makes me very happy, FABRIC! This is by far one of my favorite lines on the market. i am linking her site so you can check it out. You can buy patterns from her as well as her fabric to make your own stylish tote, apron or skirt. I am made my daughter Caroline's diaper bag using her fabric as well. (the bag on the top) Yea! Amy Butler.
If you have any great fabric lines that you love please pass them on.
