baked goods So
apparently, I no longer need to bake goodies for my husband. This is just a sampling of what one of his patients brought him last week. He says he usually eats them before he gets home, but had to show me the printed list of goodies along with each of them being
individually wrapped. So sweet.
It has never crossed my mind to bring goodies to my doctor, has it you?

I've never baked for my doctor, but I was aware of the phenomenon. People bake for my kids' doctor - I've seen it on his desk (we're actually friends, so I've been in his office). And people bake for the dentist, too. We get stuff from patients at my office once in awhile, and we get truckloads of baking at Christmas.
I've never baked for my doctor either, but he's also not nearly as cute as Jeff (ha). I don't see my doctor very often, but maybe if I did I'd be more inclined to give him things. It's rather sweet that he's getting so much lovin at work.
I have never baked for my doctor, however I have a friend who always brings something to her doctor/dentist/pediatrician etc. She takes bagels, doughnuts or cookies pretty much anytime she goes in to see them.
I wanted to take my OB out for dinner after the birth of Miriam. I thought about getting him a gift certificate at least, he was so great. Darin reminded me that we gave him the gift of our money and felt like that was enough. I should have at least sent a Thank You card though....
This was so funny to me! Especially the printed list. I love it! This must be a regular patient then? The only time I brought something to a visit was a box of clementine oranges to our dentist office staff. I am loving the baked goods - did he share with you then? :-)
That's hilarious. I have never baked for a doctor, but I have given a giftcard to a pediatrician at Christmas.
Never thought of baking for my doctor...but I have done the thank you card.
Funny...and very thoughtful.
When I worked in banking before I had kids people would bring us stuff all the time. It always surprised me because I would never think to bring goodies to the bank. Of course, I'm not in the bank all the time like some people are. . .
When I worked at a dental office for 4 years we had patients send the office Christmas cards & bring goodies -but not that often -afterall, it was the Dentist!!
Probably thought we wouldn't approve of sweets -HA!! -ciao
Dude, everyone should start baking for their attorneys, too! My husband is always hungry at work!
I think me naked under a paper sheet is gift enough.
I gave my OB a thank you card and a gift certificate to Dairy Queen after the birth of my baby...my doctor was at Dairy Queen with his daugter when I went into labor...so, he left DQ to come in to deliver my baby...that's why I thought it was fitting for the DQ gift card...to make it up to his daughter.
kelly, that is so funny!!
anna, i love that!
Oh, that's sweet of Jeff to bring them home and let you see.
I offered once to bake for Erin's preschoolers, but the teacher said they had Health & Safety regs that meant it was better to bring in shop-bought items than home-baked ones because at least they could see the ingredients! Outrageous!! Sometimes it drives me mad how we have to be so careful about triggering ppl's allergies and intolerances. I never knew ANYONE at school when I was a girl who had food intolerances.
Sorry. Rant over!
Hurrah to doctors who eat lots of sugary stuff!
I actually decided to not bring treats to my OB and his fleet of nurses at Christmas because I thought they might not want them after having seen me naked under a paper sheet.
Can't say that I have. But, what a nice thing to do! Very sweet!
I don't know any of you, but I wish I did- you are histerical!
Never thought to bake for my doctor either. Although-she's one of those tiny, super-fit ladies so I think my efforts would be lost on her.
No, I've never thought to bring our doctor goodies, but maybe I should since we see him so very often!
