last minute.
tonight (9:45 pm) while finishing the girls Easter Baskets I came up with this great idea for a card to send to the girls I visit teach for next year. I hurry and ran to my Scrapbook Factory Program and drew this out by making circles. I wish I would have thought of this sooner!
So if you see any of those bunny ears 50% off next week pick them up and use to give them away for Easter next year. Target had them in their dollar section. (if you click image you should be able to save it, the quality is better when you double click it)
now i am off to run outside to use powdered sugar to make bunny footprints, i hope it doesn't snow again tonight.
and with all my spring break D.C. history "festivas" I forgot to post my favorite bird nest cake. So if you are up late and want to make one, here is the one I made last year.
... have I mentioned how much I LOVE holidays. How does one sleep on these nights.

Once again, a brilliant idea! :) Keep them coming!
VERY cute ideas!! We had a birthday today (my son) and so we are doing our Easter basket stuff tomorrow (we like to do it on Saturday instead).
I wish I had more time to do more this year, but with having had 2 birthdays and Easter all in the same week, it wasn't possible!
HAPPY EASTER to you guys! I hope you have a great Sabbath!!
The bird nest cake is killing me with it's cuteness. I love it so much -- thanks for sharing that!
Happy Easter!
I'm glad you reminded me to do the bunny prints. So cute. We just put carrots out. I love holidays too.
I wish I felt excited the way you do. I have stuff for Easter baskets but am so tired that I don't even want to mess with any of it, let alone powdered sugar footprints or a darling bird's nest cake. Most likely my sun soaked exhaustion from working in the yard is the cause of this grumpy tiredness, but really I'm going to sleep great tonight.
Oh my, you are so right about the cake. My husband is looking over my shoulder and salivating. It is beautiful! And the bunny prints. . . DARLING!!! I won't be able to sleep either just thinking about it!
3 days ago I never would have imagined that I would be leaving a comment on a complete strangers blog. Then again, I never imagined my wife Ashley would be doing the same. Regardless, you have inspired her, what with your cakes and blogs and all. I'm not sure if I should be scared or happy. In either case its nice that Ashley has found an obsession to match mine (golf). Thanks.
So Creative! I love the bunny footprints...I have never heard of that! You are such a great mom - creating so many wonderful memories for your girls! They will remember these things forever!
Oh, yes, I'll have to go out and buy some bunny ears tomorrow and save them for next year.
Kristi,
I will eat an "egg roll" for lunch in your honour!
What a cute idea for the footprints! Love it!
that cake is to die for! wow! maybe next year. this year the easter bunny fell asleep on the couch and had to get up early to hide eggs ( :
