Life on our lily pad

Annie Kate is a little bored. Her two sisters have turned into Vomit Vicki and Projectile Pamela. We are ankle deep in sickness and Annie Kate is going crazy because we are not leaving the house. So my creative little girl took 4 pieces of lime green paper and came up with this frog. unbelievable. It was great to see my brother for a few hours the past two nights. He was here such a short time but managed to get up with my girls feed them breakfast, do my dishes and my laundry - both nights he was here. I felt bad the girls were so sick. This photo is of Sally Jane totally awake but just exhausted from throwing up for a day. (she is weighing in at 19 lbs this week and is like a wet leaf who has not eaten in two days. at two and a half she wraps her arms around the toilet like an adult when vomiting and seems concerned about being clean... Like father like daughter)
We loved having him and when Caroline was up today she said, "When is that guy coming back, that guy Ryan"

I'm so impressed that Ryan did your dishes and your laundry, that's the sign of a great man in my opinion!

I'm so sorry the girls are both sick, what in the world is going on? Annie Kate's frog is very cute and super creative, good for her. It's too bad she doesn't love reading because now would be a great time to set up a cozy spot to kick-back and read without the little girls to bother her.

Your brother did your dishes and laundry?? WOW.
So sad about VV and PP.
That photo of Sally Jane is precious. I can't believe she's only 19 lbs.!

Ohhhh! I'm sorry they've still got the tummy bug. How sweet for your brother to pitch-in.
AK's frog is darling, she's very creative!

I hope everyone is well soon. Hang in there!

So sorry that you have YUKS at your house -- awful, isn't it? No fun for anyone. "That guy Ryan" is pretty cool to be so helpful. I loved the frog -- Yes, it is too bad that AK doesn't love to read as that could pass the time for her -- but her creativity is amazing!! Are you sick as well? Love to everyone and get better soon at your house!!

The frog is seriously cute! We have been making little felt finger puppets here.

I sure hope that your little girls feel better soon! That is so awful!

I hope the girls get better soon. So nice of your brother to help so much. It's got to be tough seeing Sally Jane loose so much weight. That little frog is amazing.

So sorry to hear that the girls are still sick. That frog just might make them smile a bit though! Like mother like daughter. Hope your household gets through this quickly and you all get to start enjoying summer as it is meant be enjoyed.

That is sooo sad. I hope they get well soon. I totally know what you mean about being house bound. It has been raining for several days here dampening anything outdoorsy.

What a blessing to have such a great brother help you out.

What a mixed bag of happenings at your house. Sick girls, company and creativity all at the same time. What a great brother Ryan is to help you out while he is there. And that frog is absolutely delightful, Annie K.
I hope the girls are well tomorrow. Love you guys.

Kristi, I talked to Rachel Rhien today and she told her sister all about your class on Washington DC. Her sister lives in Virginia and looked up your blog to print out an itinerary for things to do and see this summer.

What a great brother! I'm so sorry your littles are so sick. That's awful anytime, but especially in Summer when all you are supposed to do is have fun.

AK is very creative. I love frogs!

Kristi...wow! First off the frog is great. I love seeing the imagination of kids. Secondly, don't you think that it is an extreme gift from Heavenly Father that this mothering instinct kicks in so boldly when our kids are sick? It seem with mine that it doesn't matter how tired I am...or how many things I have to get done, when they are sick, the world stops and my heart aches for them, I wish it was me and not them, and my love it even ten fold what it was before the puke and germs and virus filled my house. Hang in there. Also, I was searching your blog a little and saw your tradition of the "Magic School Bus" for back to school and am ecstatic to do that for my little Trey who starts Kindergarten in the fall. Thanks for sharing you..

Kristi that picture...oh my! It is SO SWEET! Sweet little SJ, I am so glad Ryan was there to help out a little. I hope your darlings are over the worst and they are on the road to recovery!

SJ uses the toilet to throw up?! What in the world? So sad that the two girls are sick, and sorry AK is bored. I can't believe Sally Jane only weighs 19 pounds! I thought Eva was tiny and she weighs 24.

Wonderful that that guy Ryan was able to help you out so much during his brief stay.
