I am so awesome at this game!

A few years ago my brother gave me the deluxe edition of Clue, the 50th Anniversary edition to be exact. It is sweet! the weapons and people are heavy metal and the rooms have extra detail.

I don't know what it is about this game but I seem to always win. I must have good critical thinking skills or I am a good guesser. The summer before I got married we played this with my brother and I won every time.Annie Kate has taken an interest in this game and we have played a few times this week. She has wanted to win so bad! Tonight we played three games. First one I won, second Jeff and the third I winked at Jeff and said "let Annie Kate win"

I swear the third game took 1 hour! Jeff and I kept guessing our own guys until she figured it out. Oh my when she did, she was thrilled!

Ryan, in case I never sent you a thank you note (chances are good I didn't) for the Clue game, Thanks we love it!

Do you like Clue?
Do you let other people win to make them feel good?

I haven't planned Clue in years. Oh the memories. The new additions sound much more fun with all the detail. I will occaisionally let my nieces/nephews win but they are usually pretty darn good.

I like Clue, we play that on game nights occasionally and it's always fun. We all have our own method for marking the papers and trying to figure things out, but I often end up feeling like it's a crap shoot. Most likely because Adam is so strategically minded he outsmarts us.

I don't usually let someone else win just to make them feel good, but I would do that for one of the kids especially if they'd already lost twice.

I love clue! My siblings and I played it growing up. Now we all have kids of our own, and 1 of them got clue jr. We tried playing with them and it just was not the same! A good game for kids but I love the original clue game the best!
(love your blog by the way!)

I am a believer in "helping" a child to win. My husband and mother on the other hand, NEVER EVER would let someone win.

I love Clue! It was always the game I chose growing up. I remember winning but maybe because I always had to play my younger brother...? That edition looks very cool.

I like to let most other people win. I usually root for the underdog. I've given the wink many times. Fun to pass this game on to AK! (but 1 hr is a long time to play Clue!)

I loved clue growing up! Did you ever see Clue the Movie? Not really for kids, but funny.

I think I will totally let my kids win at games to make them feel good. My dad lost more than one race to me, at the time I thought it was because I was lightening fast!

I love it. I used to be good but not so much anymore. I think my brain is in too many places now.

I LOVE CLUE!!! My best friend Karen and I played for hours on end all the way through elementary school. I still make weird side comments like, "Ms. Scarlett in the library with the candlestick" and people look at me strangely but it's that ingrained on my brain.

I go back and forth on the letting your kids win. Ellie is such a little egomaniac right now that I think she needs to know others are allowed to win/talk/be right so I'm not letting her win unless she does something to earn it a little.

oh, my, i haven't played Clue in a loooong time. (i've just been going to murder mystery parties instead!!)

i think we need to get a copy at our house. we've been playing too much mousetrap!

i hate to lose, but i'm O.K. with "letting" jack win. (most of the time!)

Hey kristi what is the part in the game where you throw the board with all the pieces on it? Thats what I did best!

Clue is lots of fun, but I haven't played it in years. Happy for Annie Kate finally winning a game... even if you did give her some help.

Ummm, I think this is called 'Cluedo' over here? I've never played it, although it's a middle-class staple, really, for all families.

We're a Monopoly family. Just Junior Monopoly at the moment. Erin always used to throw a strop if someone beat her a Snakes and Ladders, but she seems to be grasping the concept that the 'turn of the card' decides many an outcome and you just have to deal with it! (is that a slight pun? card? deal with it? it wasn't intentional anyway!)

I LOVE Clue! WE played this a ton when I was in HS! Lindsey found my old Clue Master Detective, and wanted to play. So we've played it a few times recently as well. It is a fun game!

I let others win so often it's hard for me to actually TRY to win. Not that I would win if I tried...I just have this inner turmoil about winning. IF I win, I feel bad that others had to lose, IF I lose I feel bad that I lost. So, it's better not to try, its the only way I don't feel bad.

You know who is the KING of letting little ones win? My Dad.

LOVE Clue. Seriously. And, yes I do let the kids win, but never David. Is that mean? haha. :) I guess its just all about me having more fun. More fun watching the little guys win, and more fun trying to beat, but usually loosing to David.

I used to love Clue, and probably still would! I love the rooms and people and all the little weapons. Now I'm in the mood to play clue....

I usually let my kids have a turn to win. It's good for them, but every once in a while they catch on to what's going on.

We play Clue at our house too. Usually Max or I win -- I don't think Lucas has quite got it yet. I might let Lucas win at a game, but never Max: he would know and be offended. Plus, he can beat me at a lot of things!

I definitely love Clue (I love all games) and I am so competitive that I rarely, if ever, let someone win.
